Las vacaciones son ese tiempo que nos tomamos en el año para disfrutar del descanso y siempre que tengo la posibilidad me gusta viajar y conocer nuevos lugares o bien volver a aquellos sitios que de alguna u otra manera me han marcado.

Viajar y conocer mi país es una de las cosas que más disfruto y mucho más el hacerlo en familia guardando cientos de fotos de los lugares que visito.

Estas vacaciones de verano tuvimos la suerte de varios destinos de nuestra inmensa Patagonia y disfrutar de su magia y de sus bellos paisajes.

Vacations are that time of the year that we take to enjoy the rest and whenever I have the possibility I like to travel and visit new places or return to those places that in one way or another have marked me.

Traveling and getting to know my country is one of the things I enjoy the most and much more doing it with my family, saving hundreds of pictures of the places I visit.

This summer vacation we were lucky enough to visit several destinations in our immense Patagonia and enjoy its magic and beautiful landscapes.

En nuestro viaje de dos semanas, una de las ciudades que conocimos y quedamos fascinados fue la la ciudad de Esquel, ciudad que se encuentra a escasos 70 kilómetros de nuestro vecino país Chile.

Uno de los lindos atractivos que tiene la ciudad además de sus paisajes maravillosos, es una excursión en un tren emblemático e histórico de más de 100 años de antigüedad al que se lo conoce como "La Trochita".

Esta excursión consiste en un viaje en EL antiguo tren durante un recorrido de 18 kilómetros en donde además de disfrutar de muy lindos paisajes se visita un asentamiento Mapuche llamado NahuelPan, uno de los pueblos originarios de nuestro país.

In our two-week trip, one of the cities we visited and were fascinated by was the city of Esquel, a city located just 70 kilometers from our neighboring country Chile.

One of the beautiful attractions that the city has, besides its wonderful landscapes, is an excursion on an emblematic and historic train that is more than 100 years old and is known as "La Trochita".

This excursion consists of a trip on the old train during a journey of 18 kilometers where, besides enjoying the beautiful landscapes, you will visit a Mapuche settlement called Nahuel Pan, one of the original peoples of our country.

Si tuviese que describir las sensaciones vividas en ese viaje no sabría por donde comenzar.

Por un lado lo maravilloso de poder viajar en un tren a vapor de más de 100 años de antigüedad es algo muy difícil de describir en palabras, ya que ese tren es un verdadero museo, en excelente estado de conservación.

La gran mayoría de coches de la formación se han restaurado y se conservan en su estado original, viviendo una experiencia maravillosa como si hubiésemos hecho un viaje al pasado.

Fue la primera vez que mis hijas viajaban en tren y hacerlo en uno con tanta historia fue una experiencia que nunca olvidaran.

If I had to describe the sensations experienced on that trip I would not know where to start.

On the one hand, the wonderful feeling of being able to travel on a steam train more than 100 years old is something very difficult to describe in words, since that train is a real museum, in an excellent state of preservation.

The great majority of the cars of the train have been restored and are preserved in their original state, living a wonderful experience as if we had made a trip to the past.

It was the first time my daughters traveled by train and to do it in one with so much history was an experience they will never forget.

El paisaje que se pudo disfrutar en su recorrido fue sencillamente conmovedor. Quienes amamos la naturaleza y disfrutamos de su inmensidad solemos lograr una conexión con el entorno que moviliza nuestro interior. La posibilidad de poder hacer este tipo de viajes es algo que llevaremos para siempre con nosotros

En el trayecto del viaje se disfruta de unas vistas espectaculares de la ciudad de Esquel ya que en los primeros tramos las vías comienzan a trepar rápidamente, lo que permite disfrutar de unas panorámicas capaz de enamorar a cualquiera.

Debo confesarles que si bien lo que uno ve por las ventanillas es impagable, la sensación de vértigo es importante por la altura que toma y el enorme precipicio por el cual realiza el primer tramo del viaje.

The scenery that could be enjoyed during the tour was simply moving. Those of us who love nature and enjoy its immensity usually achieve a connection with the environment that mobilizes our inner self. The possibility of being able to make this kind of trip is something that we will carry with us forever.

During the trip we enjoy spectacular views of the city of Esquel, since in the first stretches the tracks begin to climb quickly, which allows us to enjoy panoramic views capable of making anyone fall in love.

I must confess that although what you see through the windows is priceless, the feeling of vertigo is important because of the height and the huge precipice through which the first part of the trip takes place.

El costo del viaje es de $17.300 (17,30 HBD) los mayores de 12 años y $12.300 (12,30 HBD) los menores de 12 años hasta los 6 años y loe menores de 6 años no pagan. En total gastamos en la excursión $46.900 (46,90 HBD). Más allá del costo que para nuestro país es elevado es una excursión que deberían hacer quienes tengan la suerte de venir de visita a Esquel.
