Who is "our" referring to? The common man? Humankind? Crypto?
I don't know why I can tolerate the ups and downs of crypto. I find them exciting. But as the only crypto enthusiast I know irl, I can tell you that folks do indeed shy away from crypto because of its volatility. They think I am nuts. I think they are nuts for not at least getting in a little.

Why don't all of our friends want a free million dollars?
I even had one person tell me they would prefer the govern-cement to be in control of the money.
I'd answer "just look at how well that has turned out for the good guys."
Good has already won. Evil has lost.
Now, it is a matter of bringing to the surface all the evil and dealing with it / cleaning it up.
And people do not immediately switch to something better.
They often prefer the old and familiar and torturous to unknown freedom.
So, we have a lot of things that are making people uncomfortable enough to shift.
I agree that the good guys have won, mostly because we now understand how much more powerful than the bad guys we really are. But I still have a whole lot of people in my life who are digging their heels in, worshipping DARPA, Gates and that ilk. It's baffling. They will eventually come around I think. They will have to.
