Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I really wanted to try ink drawing and create something in my signature dark style, so I used the character Holozing—specifically, the Healer of Light as my inspiration. I reimagined him in my own style and drew him in ink. I hope you like it.

Hola gente bonita! ¡Espero estén súper bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Tenia muchas ganas de pintar con tinta y hacer algún dibujo muy a mi estilo oscuro, así que tome como referencia el personaje de Holozing, para ser mas concreto al Sanador de la luz y lo hice a mi estilo y lo pinte con tinta, espero que les guste.

I started by sketching, using the character reference and another image I found on Pinterest of a boy, and I used those to put the whole drawing together. I wanted to stray a bit from the norm in the drawings I’d done recently; this time, I wanted to create a slightly darker, more gloomy drawing, giving him a somewhat grotesque mouth with protruding teeth and so on.

Comencé haciendo el boceto, tomando en cuenta la referencia del personaje y otro que encontré en Pinterest de un chico y con eso voy armando todo el dibujo. Quise salirme un poco de lo normativo en los últimos dibujos que había hecho, esta vez quise hacer un dibujo un poco mas oscuro o tétrico, haciéndole una boca un tanto grotesca, con dientes sobresalientes y demás.

After sketching for a while about 15 minutes, i cleaned it up really well and added details with a mechanical pencil, so it would be ready for me to start coloring it.

Después de un rato haciendo el boceto, que serian como unos 15 minutos, lo que hice fue limpiarlo super bien y detallarlo con un portaminas, para así dejarlo listo para comenzar a pintarlo.

Use ink and water to paint the entire character. The ink is the main pigment, and the water is what you’ll use to dilute the ink, creating different shades of black and allowing you to achieve a good contrast in the drawing.

Use tinta y agua para pintar todo el personaje. La tinta es el pigmento principal y el agua es la que usaría para diluir la tinta y así obtener diferentes tonos de negro y así poder hacer un contraste decente en el dibujo.

After spending quite a while coloring the entire drawing, I let it dry thoroughly and then added some details with a mechanical pencil to create a line art that would help highlight certain areas of the drawing. I finished the drawing by adding some highlights to certain areas, and that’s it, folks—that’s all there is to it.

Después de haber estado un buen rato pintando todo el dibujo, lo que hice fue dejarlo secar muy bien y así después detallarlo un poco con un portaminas y obtener un line art que ayudara a realzar ciertas zonas en el dibujo. Termino el dibujo agregando unos brillos en algunas zonas del dibujo y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
