Hola amigos, hoy les comparto una experiencia que tuve con un microondas de mi sobrina, la verdad es que cada día aprendemos cosas nuevas, LES CUENTO que hace dos días mi sobrina me llamó para preguntarme si conocía a alguien que arreglara microondas, porque su microondas no quería funcionar, me decía que pulsaba los números del teclado y no aparecían en la pantalla, por lo que ella aseguraba que tenían sucios los contactos.

Two days ago, my niece called me to ask if I knew anyone who repaired microwaves, because hers wasn't working. She said that when she pressed the numbers on the keypad, they didn't appear on the display, so she was sure the contacts were dirty.

Bueno amigos, yo también pensé que la causa más probable era que los contactos del teclado estuvieran sucios, así que el trabajo me pareció fácil, ya que solo tenía que quitar el teclado y limpiar esos contactos, así que le dije a mi sobrina que yo mismo revisaría el microondas.

Well friends, I also thought the most likely cause was that the keyboard contacts were dirty, so the job seemed easy to me, since I only had to remove the keyboard and clean those contacts, so I told my niece that I would check the microwave myself.

Lo primero que hice fue quitar la carcasa metálica del microondas, y luego, con mucho cuidado, retiré la placa electrónica y el teclado.

El teclado consta de dos membranas, cada una con pistas conductoras que forman un circuito conectado a cada tecla. Estas pistas se activan al presionar ambas caras; es decir, cada punto del teclado actúa como un interruptor, activando las diferentes funciones del microondas y su duración.

Para retirar el teclado, primero tuve que calentar el plástico para debilitar el adhesivo y comencé a levantar con cuidado el borde hasta quitarlo totalmente de la tapa.

The keypad consists of two membranes, each with conductive traces that form a circuit linked to each key. These traces are activated when both sides are pressed; in other words, each point on the keypad acts as a switch, activating the microwave's different functions and their duration.

To remove the keypad, first heat the plastic to weaken the adhesive, then carefully lift the edge until it separates completely from the cover.

En las imágenes podrán ver que que las membranas están sucias, allí podemos ver que las pistas electrónicas están manchadas, por lo que tengo que limpiarla, pero lo que más me interesa es revisar los puntos de los contactos de cada placa, me refiero, a los contactos circulares correspondiente a cada numero o de cada función del microondas.

In the images you can see that the membranes are dirty; there we can see that the electronic traces are stained, so I have to clean it, but what interests me most is checking the contact points of each board, I mean, the circular contacts corresponding to each number or each function of the microwave.

Si amigos, yo pensaba que con solo limpiar los contactos de las membranas del teclado iba a poder solucionar el problema, pero no fue así, porque cuando revise la continuidad de las lineas de las pistas, me di cuenta que los conductores estaban rotos, y al estar rotos no iba a haber comunicación entre el teclado y la tarjeta electrónica, de manera que, tuve que buscar por YouTube algún tutorial relacionado con este tipo de fallas y encontré varios tutoriales, que me ayudaron a resolver el problema.

Estas pistas circuito eléctrico, están formadas por un hilo delgado de carbono o de grafito, este hilo o filamento, es tan delgado que es difícil de soldar, así que en vista de lo difícil que es esta reparación, decidí eliminar las membranas del teclado y en su lugar voy a colocar, por lo menos dos botones pulsadores, uno para ajustar el tiempo de cocción y el otro para iniciar y detener el proceso, considero que con estos dos botones podré salvar este microondas, porque lo que interesa es el tiempo que va a durar la cocción de los alimentos y el botón para iniciar o detener el proceso, el botón para ajustar el tiempo se puede lograr poniendo a funcionar un solo numero del teclado, por ejemplo el nº1, si queremos un tiempo de cocción de 11 segundos pulsamos dos veces el botón, si lo pulsamos 3 veces serían 111 segundos equivalentes a 1 minuto con 51 segundos.

Yes, friends, I thought that simply cleaning the keyboard membrane contacts would solve the problem, but it didn't. When I checked the continuity of the traces, I realized the conductors were broken, and because they were broken, there was no communication between the keyboard and the circuit board. So, I had to search YouTube for a tutorial related to this type of failure, and I found several that helped me solve the problem.

These electrical circuit traces are made of a thin strand of carbon or graphite. This strand or filament is so thin that it's difficult to solder. Given the difficulty of this repair, I decided to remove the keypad membranes and replace them with at least two push buttons: one to adjust the cooking time and the other to start and stop the process. I believe these two buttons will save this microwave, because what matters is the cooking time and the button to start or stop the process. The time adjustment button can be activated by pressing a single number on the keypad, for example, number 1. If we want a cooking time of 11 seconds, we press the button twice; if we press it three times, it would be 111 seconds, equivalent to 1 minute and 51 seconds.

Bueno amigos, LES CUENTO, que gracias a la orientación que adquirí de varios tutoriales de YOUTUBE, al fin pude poner a funcionar el microondas de mi sobrina, ella esta muy contenta, porque casi que lo tiraba a la basura, en una próxima publicación les mostraré la manera de eliminar la membrana de contactos del teclado, por pulsadores tipo suiche.
