Who knows what is good for man? That is why we are taught to do good works.

As Ecclesiastes 12:1 taught us to always Remember our Creator in the days of our youth, while the evil days are yet to come, or the years is closer, when we shall loose pleasure in them;

Our creator is the one that knows what is good for us, that is why we should do good things

Ecclesiastes 6:12 is asking the same question that who know what is good for man in this life, all the days of his life that he spent as a shadow in vain? who know what shall be after man under the sun?

We don't know what would end us or what would happen after we die

According to Ecclesiastes 12:14, For God would bring every work we've done to judgment, with all the secret things we've done, whether it is good or bad.

The days shall declares everything we've done, everything would be bring to judgement, including the secret things. If you spend your days like shadow, your days would declare nothing.

1 Corinthians 3:12-13 explain that if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble or other precious things, his work shall be made manifest because the day shall declare it and it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what kind of work it is.

As we live, we should be able to do what we have to do

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says Whatever your hand find to do, do it with your might; because there is no work, or device, or knowledge, or wisdom, in the grave, it whither as you go.

What is good for man is to fear God and keep His commandments.

Mary choose to listen to the word of God and she has chosen a good part.

We read how Mary choose the good part in Luke 10:42 that says just only one thing is needful: and Mary made the good part choice, which shall not be taken away from her.

To go to the house of God and listen is better than doing sacrifice of foods. Its better to listen.

It's written in Ecclesiastes 6:1 that there is an evil which Apostle has seen under the sun, and it is common among human being like you and I

The meaning of the good part that mary has taken is service; she was serving

Listening is important because that is where you are going to know what to do, God you to do good, you have to be taught because you need to believe. Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God

As its written in Romans 2:13 that it's not the hearers of the law that are before God, it's the doers of the law that shall be justified.

You have the capacity to decide, you can choose to listen or choose not to listen.

You won't be justified if you listen and still not doing what you hear

Lesson

No one knows what is good for man, we don't know the future, because we don't know what our old age would be, because we don't know where we would land, all that we have been doing might be in vain, that is why we are taught to do the good works and right things so as to land well.

If man spend his days like shadow, didn't spend it wisely, then it's obvious that he won't end well because the days would declare nothing for him. What is beat for man is to obey God and keep His commandments.

Only the doers of the Word is who God recognise, not just the hearers, the hearers only waste their time if they aren't doer. Mary is not just a hearer, she hear and she does it and that is why it's written that she choose well.
