What's Bugging Me & Calling Out Craft Beer Craziness!
Picture this. You wake up one sunny morning, pull open your curtains to greet the day, and this is right in your face...

How am I supposed to interpret that?, I thought as I scurried out of my bedroom and went about my day. A couple of hours later I returned only to find this giant, mosquito-looking thing still clinging to my window. Clearly plotting my demise. I grabbed my camera and started filming. I figured this would give the detectives a good lead after they find my bloated corpse.

Analyzing my pictures, the first thing I noticed was the sinister stinger at the end of it's rather long abdomen. With goosebumps going up and down my arms, I frantically pulled up my search engine and went about learning as much as I could about this mortal enemy of mine.
I found out what it is. A crane fly. That didn't sound too dangerous. But, how much venom was in that stinger? Turns out, none at all. In fact, that isn't even a stinger. It's a hollow tube that female crane flies use to dispense their eggs.
See, this was nothing more than a harmless, female crane fly looking into my bedroom window while searching for a mate. Nothing creepy or disturbing about that. Right?

Have We Gone too Far?
Recently, I was perusing the beer section of my local supermarket when I came upon the following...

That's four, 12 ounce bottles for $40. Okay, the alcohol content is 17.3%. So, one bottle would be enough for most people to be nicely buzzed. But, what if it tastes horrible? Bad-tasting beer is simply undrinkable. You can cover up bad liquor by mixing it. Bad beer just goes to waste.
So, I would never consider paying this much for a beer that I have not tasted. It's simply not worth the risk. Especially when there are so many other options that I know I like.
And, that unit price is no accident. There are some evil forces at play here, for sure. 😈

I feel another sequel to "The Fly" needs to be made. A lady crane fly melds with a hapless grocery store clerk who stalks the aisles for a mate, stopping only to guzzle $40 suds. 😱😆 (With a special cameo by Jeff Goldblum via flashback, of course. 😉🍻)
