ENG/ESP: How Much Is Too Much? //Cuánto Es Demasiado?

Yesterday a friend went through my blog and was of the opinion that I shared too much of my personal experiences or issues here, to which I had no candid reply. I simply had no answer. But it did get me thinking for quite a while.

What exactly is the essence of a blog?

Isn't writing meant to be an act of self-expression?

Isn't writing meant to help you unburden your emotions on bad days?

My friend also writes for a blog and her niche is real estate.

Often times when going into professional writing, the common advice is to find your niche and focus on it.

Some of us, on the other hand, just want to express ourselves. I, like @reineesmay, like to write from personal experiences. I want to write in such a way that others can relate to what I write. I aim to publish genuine articles that make people laugh, think, love, and perhaps get pissed😁(just kidding!)

What is the essence of a Blog if I can't freely express myself? My friend says to cut down on my personal experience writing, but I prefer not to. And as I've always said, I'm a coconut-headed girl who does not settle for the opinions of others but would rather do me.

If someone asks me about my blog and niche I would always tell them anime and music. Although that's not all there is to me. I sometimes post movies and until recently found out I'm an OK writer.

I think a niche is just a professional word used to generalize the main part of a blog.

I write, comment and reblog whatever I feel for that's what a blog is meant to be. Your meant to thrive.

On the part about sharing too much, I don't think you have actually, at least not as much as one may share on Instagram or Facebook or something. Since I've been following your blog I've been quite happy, so maybe your personal experiences are uplifting? I think if your blog is just about something like real estate or your work, it's not a blog but rather an advertisement space. At least that's my personal opinion.

In a way, his reply to my post gives me the impression that I am most definitely doing something right. At the end of the day, I believe that everyone should be allowed to use their blog as they please.

Random fact: Anger pain joy love happiness and the likes motivate me to write and nothing is going to change that.

Ayer un amigo revisó mi blog y opinó que compartía demasiado mis experiencias o asuntos personales aquí, a lo que no tuve una respuesta sincera. Simplemente no tuve respuesta. Pero me hizo reflexionar un buen rato.

¿Cuál es exactamente la esencia de un blog?

¿No se supone que escribir es un acto de autoexpresión?

¿No se supone que escribir te ayuda a desahogar tus emociones en los días malos?

Mi amiga también escribe en un blog y su nicho es el inmobiliario.

A menudo, cuando uno se dedica a la escritura profesional, el consejo común es encontrar su nicho y centrarse en él.

Otros, en cambio, sólo queremos expresarnos. A mí, como a @reineesmay, me gusta escribir a partir de experiencias personales. Quiero escribir de tal manera que los demás puedan relacionarse con lo que escribo. Mi objetivo es publicar artículos genuinos que hagan reír, pensar, amar y quizás cabrearse😁(¡es broma!)

¿Cuál es la esencia de un blog si no puedo expresarme libremente? Mi amigo dice que reduzca mis escritos de experiencias personales, pero yo prefiero no hacerlo. Y como siempre he dicho, soy una chica con cabeza de coco que no se conforma con las opiniones de los demás sino que prefiere hacerlo conmigo.

Sobre la parte de compartir demasiado, no creo que lo hayas hecho realmente, al menos no tanto como uno puede compartir en Instagram o Facebook o algo así. Desde que sigo tu blog he sido bastante feliz, así que tal vez tus experiencias personales son edificantes. Creo que si tu blog es sólo sobre algo como la inmobiliaria o tu trabajo, no es un blog sino un espacio publicitario. Al menos esa es mi opinión personal.

En cierto modo, su respuesta a mi bote me da la impresión de que definitivamente estoy haciendo algo bien. Al fin y al cabo, creo que todo el mundo debería poder utilizar su blog como quiera.

El hecho es que la ira, el dolor, la alegría, el amor, la felicidad y todo lo demás me motiva a escribir y nada va a cambiar eso.
