MCGI CARES LIVE ZOOM MEETING, HELD ON 25TH OF JANUARY 2023.

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you're welcome to my blog. My name is Olu Thomas, I will share with us what I learned on the 25th January 2023 MCGI Live Zoom Meeting.

What I learned from MCGI Cares Community held on the 25th of January, 2023.

What is pure religion, many think they don’t need a religion, but the bible clearly tells us that there’s pure religion, a religion that is meaningful, the one that’s pleasant to God, and the religion that works in accordance with the doctrine of Jesus Christi, not vain religion, not faith that wants to please themselves instead of obeying the doctrine of the word of God.

The Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is for us to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep ourselves from being polluted by the world system, if you do this you are practicing pure religion as the word of God stated, if you don’t help or look after the orphans or widows, that means your religion is vain and you can’t please the Lord our God if you don’t look after the widows and orphans or those brethren in need and you know you can support them in one way or other. Let’s open our arms to welcome and embrace the orphans and widows because they will feel rejected once neglected, and God will not be pleased with that act. I pray the Lord will help us look after the orphans and widows, which the pure religion is talking to us. While we do that, we need to keep ourselves pure from the schemes of the devil, we need to please and work according to the doctrine of Jesus.

I also learned that we should train our children in the way of the Lord, we should train them in the way they should go so that when they grow they will never deviate from the teachings. Some parents can borrow money just in order to send their children to school to acquire knowledge, but they forgot to teach them the doctrine of the word of God and if the children grew up and start misbehaving the parent will complain, and the fault is them, we as a parent we should make the word of God a priority in raising our children if not the world will teach our children the doctrine of the word. So, the more we teach the children the doctrine of the word of God, they will never follow their peers in leaving the world system, but instead, they will influence and transform the lives of their friends in schools, if their friends steal, insult, or do what is not right since they’ve received teachings from their parent, they can easily correct their friends in love and teach them the right thing to do and that is how we help each other to leave a holy and righteous life. As husband and wife, if we make the word of God the standard of our homes, we will enjoy staying together and we will raise our children in a world full of iniquities and atrocity, but our own will be different from the others because of our behavior.
