UNDER WATER - my entry for the Amazing Nature Contest: Thematic Challenge - #2/10/21.

At first, when I read only the topic of the competition, my first thought was, "What a trap! What shall I do? I promised @bucipuci to participate this time, but diving is not my strong side, especially this time of the year!" Thank God, I did not have to dive into the cold autumn water - that is how useful it is to read carefully the whole text of a competition post! I got too many exclamation marks in this paragraph, but it was because I had luckily found suitable photos, a lot of suitable ones.	🐡	Сначала, когда я прочитала только тему конкурса, то подумала: "Ну вот я и попала! А ведь обещала поучаствовать в этот раз!" Но, слава богу, нырять в холодную осеннюю воду не пришлось - вот как полезно читать внимательно условия конкурса! Много получилось у меня восклицательных знаков, но это ещё и от радости, что нашлись у меня подходящие фото, и немало.
Of course, the photos taken in the south, like the one that opens my post, look more spectacular, but I want to start with those photos taken here, in the Baltic area.	🐋	Конечно, фото, сделанные на юге, как то, которое открывает мой пост, смотрятся эффектней, но я хочу начать с этих снимков, сделанных у нас, на Балтике.

We drove to this spot of the beach several times in the summer, and once it surprised us very much - the coastal stones looked to be overgrown with soft green algae. Well, of course, algae are a common occurrence in our freshwater sea, but those ones looked somehow very outlandish - as if lush green beards, or even hair, had grown over the stones.. It was even beautiful!	🐟	На этот участок пляжа мы приезжали летом несколько раз, и однажды он нас очень удивил - прибрежные камни словно обросли нежно-зелёными водорослями. Нет, конечно, водоросли - это обычное явление в нашем пресноводном море, но эти выглядели как-то уж очень диковинно - как будто у камней выросла пышная зелёная борода, или даже шевелюра. Это было даже красиво!

В Интернете я нашла описание зеленых водорослей, похоже, это хлорофита (Chlorophyta), относящаяся к роду кладофора (Cladophora).

Они образуют многочисленные скопления в виде зеленой «тины» , оседают у кромки воды, обрастают деревянные буны и камни. Светло-зеленая или оливково-зеленоватая окраска – характерна для кладофоры сборной (Cladophora glomerata) и кладофоры фракты (Cladophora fracta). При этом кустики у них мягкие на ощупь...

Another beach - and other algae. It is interesting that they did not disturb the vacationers at all - there was no unpleasant smell, and their clusters looked so unusual!	🐟	Другой пляж - и другие водоросли. Интересно, что они совсем не мешали отдыхающим - не было никакого неприятного запаха, и выглядели их скопления так необычно!

A small river flowing along the seashore. It is shallow and the water is quite transparent, but the grass and trees reflected in it mix the two realities so that it is difficult to distinguish the things on the bottom from the pattern on the surface.	🐡	Маленькая речка, протекающая вдоль берега моря. Она неглубокая и вода довольно прозрачная, но отражающиеся в ней трава и деревья смешивают две реальности так, что трудно отличить то, что на дне, от рисунка на поверхности.

And now something different - the Mediterranean Sea of Greece with its clear water, volcanic and marble stones and cute inhabitants in the water right on the beach - fish and shells. The seashells were collected by me in the water, but unfortunately they were photographed out of it. They were alive, so after the photo session I sent them home to the sea. In the same place, a small starfish suddenly rose from the sea sand before my eyes, but it disappeared just as suddenly as appeared, so I didn’t have time to take a photo..	🦀	А теперь нечто иное - Средиземное море Греции с его прозрачнейшей водой, вулканическими и мраморными камнями и милыми обитателями в воде прямо на пляже - рыбками и ракушками. Ракушки были собраны в воде, но сфотографированы к сожалению,не там. Они были живые, поэтому после фотосессии я их отправила домой, в море. Там же, у меня на глазах, внезапно из песка появилась небольшая морская звезда, но она так же внезапно и исчезла, так что фото я не успела сделать.

These useful fish live in the water of a lake near Athens. The pattern on the stones turned out to be strange in the photo! I don’t remember it to be like that in reality.	🐟	Эти полезные рыбки живут в воде озера близ Афин. Рисунок на камнях получился на фото каким-то удивительным! Я не помню, чтобы в реальности он был таким.

The swan in the picture below can see underwater something that we cannot see but just guess this time...	🦐	Этот лебедь видит под водой что-то, чего на этот раз мы не можем видеть, только догадываться...
