What will the next one be called? Monument to those killed in the senseless war ... - I thought, accidentally getting into an unfamiliar square of my hometown Lviv, where I saw a beautiful wooden church and several monuments near it. And the soul began to ache again. From what I see, where I live and what I can not change ... For 8 years in Ukraine on the border between Russia and Ukraine there is military action, an unofficial war! Every day young beautiful people die, but I do not understand why! The strong people of this world are playing a cruel political game with each other, and it doesn't matter to them the death of one or 10 soldiers to achieve some of their ambitious plans! But these are someone's husbands and sons !!! Why and why this senseless war continues in the modern world, where you can live, love, create ...
There is a monument to the Victims who died for Ukraine! Another monument: to the victims who died in Afghanistan. Brothers want to remember their lost friends! Here is what is written here:
"The Military Church of the Presentation of Jesus
in the Temple has been built by the Afghan War veterans and military chaplains of the Centre of Military Chaplaincy of the Lviv Archdiocese of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church to commemorate those who perished in Afghanistan, on the Maidan, in the east of Ukraine... On a wave of patriotic enthusiasm, caused by the Revolution of Dignity, an initiative group of the veterans of the Afghan War and other wars undertook the task of bringing the intention that had been born long ago - to construct a church side by side with the memorial to the perished fellows, located in the square on the crossroads of Baturynska and Kleparivska Streets, into life. A year and a half later the Church of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple appeared there. The first Divine Service was held with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Lviv lhor Vozniak on January 7, 2017. Later, on February 15, 2017, on the feast of the Presentation of Jesus Christ, on the day of withdrawal of the troops from Afghanistan, the Archbishop consecrated the Church in concelebration with the military chaplains, and the ceremony also involved veterans, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as many city residents. Today this is the spiritual center of pastoral care of the Afghan War veterans, participants of the Russian Ukrainian war, cadets of the Hetman Petro Sahaydachnyi National Ground Forces Academy, residents of Klepariv, and many other believers from the city of Lviv and the suburbs. This is the place of Encounter... with God, fellows, friends, like-minded people... The place where the Memory is preserved and where a new Individual is shaped up!"
But maybe enough to sing in the National Anthem of Ukraine: we will give our soul and body for our freedom !? Maybe it's time to change the National Anthem of Ukraine? For example, to sing about the fact that we live under a peaceful sky in a prosperous Ukraine, where people lovingly create their lives and wish each other well!

Leaders need to learn to fight over their disputes themselves.

I was asking myself the same exact question today. How can people be manipulated to join an army and go fight for someone else without questioning the reasons behind it. And I guess we are afraid of the consequences of saying "you know what, fuck the army, I'm not enlisting."
