Sights from a Walk Around the Old Mill District in Bend OR (24 photos)
With rain forecast for the weekend we decided to get out on this nice sunny day and take a little walk around the Old Mill District in Bend Oregon. It was a bit chilly but the sun was shinning brightly. Join me as we take a little photo tour of the area. 😀
Even with some of the colder weather we have had lately there was still a plentiful amount of color to be found in the flora.
One of the art pieces hanging on the side of a building. This piece was done by Megan Meyers.
The smoke stacks of the old power plant (now an REI store) that ran the lumber mills that used to operate here.
A view of Broken Top and The Three Sisters in the distance. I will look forward to these being snow covered again soon.

I did a little experimentation in Lightroom try to bring up the reflection of the flags and bridge you can see in the next picture.
A couple more shots of the man made pond and waterfall.
Broken Top and The Three Sisters in the distance with the Deschutes river in the foreground.
A few more shots of the abundant flora.

Some art in and near the tunnel under the highway.
Mt Bachelor in the distance over the Deschutes River. Mt Bachelor is Central Oregon's premier ski resort. Like most of our Cascade peaks it is pretty much barren of snow.
A look back at the smoke stacks.
And finally this may have been the perfect way to spend this day in the Old Mill District. 😀

Thank you very much!
Nice photos, I love nature. The river with clear water and the flowers and the bush are great playground for kids.
Thank you! Being outside in nature is one of my favorite things. :)
