Spider mites attack on my bonnet pepper gardening, possible solutions
The last time i posted about my seed bed being affected by some unknown pests thereby making my bonnet pepper plant roughened, decolorized and leafs drying up, it was like a mystery and a frustrating one for a plant who did well at its initial stage, and i'd thought i would have a good harvest.
Fast forward to my last post @naturalmedicine offered me some useful advice as to the likely cause and possible solutions, looking closely i noticed my bonnet plants have been affected by Webbings from the spider mites as suggested by @naturalmedicine
The spider mites have eaten deep and have thrive well under dry conditions wrecking lots of harvock.
possible solutions
Perhaps one of the things i love about #hive community is people ready and willing to help at all times, for someone like i'd continue to wonder what could be wrong with my veggies and i might not come up with a solution but @naturalmedicine had offered useful solutions which is hosing, told me to make sure the seed bed is being moistured s this will render the spider mites harmless, this is the method am also adopting, working towards getting a hose to comfortably convey the water into plant so as to make the seed bed wet at all time.
Spider mites are a terrible infestation to have to fight. I wish you the best of luck!
If you have other plants that are around that don't have any mites- make sure to separate them. Hopefully helps limit the amount the mites will spread!
Absolutely, i did separate the infected ones, becuse the mites tend to transfer and move faster, stubborn sets of insects
It's good that you thought of that early on. I recall when I was dealing with spider mites a few years ago, and I didn't know any better. They had managed to kill all my plants except for two. It was a super sad year haha.
Fingers crossed these little pests leave your beautiful plants alone!

Those pictures are much better than mine to show those spider mites. Glad to be able to help and hope you are getting them under control now.
Agreed, the communities can bring a wealth of knowledge together and we have lots of great gardeners from all different climates in naturalmedicine.
Yes, atleast to some extent i've able to manage them, just hoping i will get rid of them totally.
Yes the communities are made of wonderful individuals and i have benefitted greatly
One thing I tried for spider mites on a tree was to take some castille soap soapy water and rub it down with a cloth. That's a little harder when you have a big plant or tons of foliage, but in my case it was a sapling tree and a bunch of the leaves had already died off when I tried it, so it was manageable. It did help, and then I just kept spraying it down as you are doing with your hose. Good luck!
Another solution you'd suggested there, i will surely try this and see how far it could help.♥️
