Christmas is over, time to get in some more feed for the new birds.

Now Christmas is over and of course lots of chicken have gone as well😋...

Now is time to restock and replace the chicks, one of the main concern of keeping broiler bird or any type of bird is the feed. Don't forget how well these birds eat will determine their growth and wellness. Infact i see the feed as the most important thing to consider while keeping birds

So early yesterday i went around town in search of feed to give to the broiler birds.

The annoying part is that the chicken feed is presently scarce and expensive when i asked further as to why we have the scarcity i was told its because maize is currently scarce, most of the farms or farmer have harvested the maize in farm, don't forget maize is the major ingredients used in producing these feeds.

The scarcity of these feed will make me try out another method, which is combining two different feed, 'chikun' and 'ultima'.there is a high demand for 'ultima' feed in the market because it tend to contain more nutrients compare to chikun but its more expensive. 'Chikun' feed on the other hand is readily availble and less expensive but not as nutritious as the ultimas, meaning i can combine the two and still get the best result i want.

I also use the opportunity to get more feeder pan and wooden one.
