Title: A different view of the Kalemegdan park and fortress

Kalemegdan is the largest park and cultural and historical complex in Belgrade. It is located on the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers in an urban area of modern Belgrade. More about this place is available here.

A small model introduces visitors to a building built on a hill.

The lion sculpture constantly observes the surroundings and guards the park and the fortress.

The lower part of the park can be reached through several gates.

At the very other end of the park there is a zoo and a children's playground. Here the atmosphere changes from serious and belligerent to cheerful and carefree.
