Web 3: Why Many Refrain From Being Part Of The Blessing
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. No doubt the introduction of Web 3 is a blessing in disguise; many are already milking it in every way possible to their own advantage, while others are spectators yet to embrace this blessing. I believe there are many reasons why people refrain from being part of the Web 3 blessings; a few will be discussed in subsequent paragraphs.

Web 3 simply refers to social media platforms built on blockchain technology. Unlike Web 2 (Facebook, Twitter), Web 3 is decentralized, that is, there's no central authority, and users of Web 3 enjoy limitless freedom, unlike in the case of Web 2, where the central authority decides how a user makes use of their account.
On Web 3, every user gets rewarded for posting and commenting, unlike on Web 2, where selected users engagement is monetized while that of others is not. In Web 3, every user is treated equally, and as a result of monetized engagement, plagiarism is a grievous offense. No doubt, earning from the comfort of your home comes with the best feelings, and Web 3 offers you that opportunity.
Like I said earlier, there are lots of reasons why many people are yet to join the moving train. A few include:
It is difficult to navigate: Many people find it very difficult to navigate through the web 3 platform; it is easier to navigate through the web 2 platforms, and many who are not willing to undergo the stress of learning how to navigate through the web 3 platform prefer to continue enjoying the web 2. When I first joined the platform with my onboarder leaving to my fate, I saw hell trying to navigate through the platform on my own. Many won't want to undergo such stress.
I am not a writer: I have tried to bring a lot of my friends and even siblings onboard, but after their introduction posts, they quit and leave the platform, claiming they are not writers. Some don't even want to join from the moment you tell them the platform has to do with writing. You try to convince them to give it a try and find their niche on the platform since the hive platform is a home for both writers and singers, cooks, artists, etc. They won't even want to listen anymore.
Ponzi Schemes: In the quest for financial freedom, I opted in for Ponzi schemes, and I lost almost everything. I invested in some platforms, carried out daily tasks, and at the end of the day, never got paid. I actually vowed to only participate in offline activities and have nothing to do with online activities, as Ponzi made me see everything online as a scam. Many people suffer the same thing and are not willing to give any online platform a chance like I did.
Understanding The Cryptocurrency World: No doubt the Cryptocurrency world is an entirely different ecosystem of its own; it has come to stay but turns out to be very difficult to understand. Blockchain technology is way more complex than I even imagined. Not everyone is willing to undergo the stress of understanding the Cryptocurrency world. When I first joined Hive, I suffered losses because I was sending Hive to my centralized wallet without the memo key. All these and many more must be acknowledged in order to thrive in the Cryptocurrency world.
