Greetings Everyone.

Much appreciation to @dswigle for organizing the #marketfriday, the initiative for sure is a nice one as we all get to know the cost of things around the globe. I wonder if people from other continents suffer inflation like we do here in Africa, the price of goods just skyrockets for no good reason.

No matter how expensive things might be, we still need to eat and visiting the market is a must. I needed to buy a short and a few things so I needed to go to the market but needed a companion, my brother asked me to follow him to the bank and from the bank we can go to the market together. I agreed since I needed a companion.

We arrived the bank at 10:06Am and the queue at the customer care section was much, seeing the queue I knew we were going to waste time there and I did not eat breakfast before leaving the house.

At 12:52PM we left the bank and headed straight to the market, all tired and hungry I first of all looked for a fast food joint where I ordered for noodles and egg worth 1000 naira (equivalent to 2.4 Hive) for my younger brother and I.

I purchased a bag for my laptop at the rate of 4000 naira which is equivalent to 9.4 Hive.

I purchased a short at 800 naira which is equivalent to 1.9 Hive.

Mom did not was time at all, she asked to get some soup things as well.

I bought grinded pepper for 200 naira which is equivalent to 0.5 Hive.

I also bought some grinded melon and spices worth 1000 naira which is equivalent to 2.4 Hive.

I bought 6 cups of beans at the rate of 900 naira which is equivalent to 2.1 Hive.

I also bought some detergent and toothpaste at the rate of 700 naira which is equivalent 1.6 hive.

I did not go to the market with the intentions of buying so much, but my mom won't let that happen as she presented her list to.

That is nice, but, where are you? :) I know you are in Africa, and probably Nigeria, but, it is a big place.

It is not clear, but, sounds like you were with your brother- also your mom? Or she gave you a list? I always encourage everyone to look through and read other market posts as well, I find it helps me as well. Thank you for supporting the challenge.

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it?

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. Museum, art gallery, bowling, barber shop, or hairdresser. Cultural event. You are allowed to think outside the box!

Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. Where is it? What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? I don't need 50 pictures unless you are willing to explain them all.
Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post. What seems obvious to you may not be obvious to all.
