Saludos mis queridos amigos de Hive el día de hoy les presentare a Luis Carlos el pequeño baquiano, un niño que a temprana edad con tan solo doce años es quien se encarga de recoger todas las tardes el ganado, vacas o reses que tienen su padre y abuelo, este término se le dice a las personas que conoce la zona, dirige y cuida el ganado. En el llano es costumbre que el baquiano se encargue trasladar las reses de un sitio a otro cuando no queda alimento ( pasto ) ni agua en los pequeños potreros, también es costumbre del llanero enseñar a sus hijos o nietos con los trabajos de campo esto se ve mayormente en los pequeños y medianos productores de la región.

Hoy Luis Carlos se dirige a su hogar con las 25 reses que tienen su padre y abuelo producto de su esfuerzo, trabajo y dedicación que posee esa familia para mantener su rebaño, comenzando con una becerra, muchas personas le decían que si estaba loco en tener esa becerra en el patio de su casa, al pasar del tiempo le fue comprando pequeñas parcelas a quienes le decían malos comentarios, su abuelo Hugo le ha enseñado a este niño lo importante que es la perseverancia y constancia en querer tener lo que uno se propone, así que por las tardes me llena de orgullo ver a Luisito como le decimos en el barrio llegar de la escuela y montar su caballo para ir a buscar las vaquitas, reses o ganado.
