Part of why crypto fosters the wrong Us vs Them mentality is the culture that came out of the first wave of success stories. Folks are always going to gravitate towards get rich quick schemes, and those inevitably put folks into a mentality where everyone else should lose so they can succeed... which is the wrong us vs them mentality. Early BTC did okay because it was a Us vs The Established System. So long as BTC won, everyone won. Then we largely lost that, and now there's few places that foster that mentality. Hive does okay, because we're real people interacting in a real way. Doge ironically sort of does okay with that too because the meme-lords have capitalized on being part of something... not just a single trader in a vast sea of other traders.
I dunno what my point is here. Maybe just that we need more places like Hive to really win back a PVE mindset.
A good analysis of crypto history to be sure.
PvE becomes much more empowered when there are more on-chain jobs available.
Right now there are only a few jobs that I know of.
Only Hive has the last job.
Every other network just has the same basic shit.
That all changes when users/players become mini-developers themselves.
Designing skins, building out levels, making puzzles, that kind of thing.
There needs to be hundreds of unique types of jobs available in crypto.
Until then we're stuck with the basic-bitch recipe and most people get stuck as "investor".
Yup, until we can find a way to integrate crypto into more than the basic five you've outlined and do it in a way that isn't tacked on and gimmicky, it's going to be hard to not keep fostering 'investor' types. But, we're still in infancy... crypto will grow to find a solid niche as long as we can just weather the bullshit right now.
