Theater Sunday 🎭

Hello hive friends, I hope you had a great weekend. I want to say hello to all the weekend experiences community, this is my first post here, so I'm very happy to write this post and tell you about a nice experience I had today.

A few days ago I saw on social networks that a theater festival was going to be held in my city starting this Friday, October 14. Since I saw it, I really wanted to attend, since I have always liked cultural and artistic events, plus it was going to be held at the Alfredo Sadel Theater which is one of the best theaters in the country and in which I spent 6 years of my life when I was part of the symphony orchestra of my city. So it was going to be a reunion with my old cultural home.

I invited my sister and my little niece to go see the play together. So we arrived a little early to enjoy the festival and we realized that in the lobby of the theater there was an exhibition of local artwork, so we started to see each of the works and appreciate all the work done by the artists of my city, after a while of watching the paintings we went up to the theater to enjoy the play. The staging lasted about 45 minutes. The play was called "the company forgives a moment of madness" and told the story of a man in a medical consultation with the psychologist of the company where he worked. During the story, the man told his version of events during a violent event he had committed in the company, while the psychologist narrated how everything had really happened, the man distorted reality and made evident his serious psychiatric problems. Hubo muchísimo drama y tambien escenas fuertes como cuando el hombre empezó a golpear un muñeco en tamaño real con el rostro de su jefe, un guión muy interesante, que nos planteó muchas dudas existenciales y nos dejó una moraleja muy importante a final de la obra. It is worth mentioning the incredible performance of the two actors.

I hadn't been to the theater for a long time, so it was an incredible experience, something different, it helped me to relax and clear my mind of so many daily problems. Unfortunately there was not much audience, the theater has a capacity for 600 people and there were at most 60 of us in attendance. It is sad to see these empty spaces, besides the entrance was totally free. We have a theater with an incredible infrastructure and very good theater groups that every city in the world would like to have and yet here people do not attend these events. I think there should be a better call and make people fall in love with culture and art, to get many young people out of the leisure of the streets. The more culture and sports, the more societies advance.

All in all it was an excellent evening, I really enjoyed the experience and it helped me share more with my sister and niece. The festival will last several more days, so I plan to attend some plays next weekend. My invitation to everyone is to live new experiences of this kind, get closer to culture and live a different moment.
