Sorprendiendo a mi Asistente Dental | Surprising my Dental Assistant (ESP&ENG)
¡Hola Hivers! Es un gusto saludarlos de nuevo, en especial a la comunidad de @aliento, en la cual tenía mucho tiempo sin escribir, pero que siempre recuerdo con mucho cariño por todo el apoyo que me brindaron en mis inicios. Es por eso que he escogido está comunidad para hablarles sobre una pequeña sorpresa que le di a mi compañera de trabajo y asistente dental Lila.
Hello Hivers! It's a pleasure to greet you again, especially the @aliento community, where I had a long time without writing, but I always remember with great affection for all the support they gave me in my beginnings. That's why I have chosen this community to tell you about a little surprise I gave to my co-worker and dental assistant Lila.
Para ponerlos un poco en contexto quiero empezar contándoles que llevo más de un año trabajando en un centro de salud pública de mi ciudad. Está fue mi primera experiencia trabajando como odontólogo. Estaba recién graduado cuando recibí está oportunidad y decidí aprovecharla. Por ser mi primer trabajo estaba muy nervioso y a la expectativa de lo que iba a enfrentar. Pero gracias a Dios y a las vida me tocó encontrarme con unos compañeros de trabajo excelentes, que desde el inicio me apoyaron y ayudaron, entre ellos está mi querida Lila, la cual se desempeña cómo asistente dental.
To give you some context, I want to start by telling you that I have been working in a public health center in my city for more than a year. This was my first experience working as a dentist. I was a recent graduate when I received this opportunity and I decided to take advantage of it. Since it was my first job, I was very nervous and expecting what I was going to face. But thanks to God and life I found some excellent co-workers, who from the beginning supported me and helped me, among them is my dear Lila, who works as a dental assistant.
Mucho se habla del trabajo del Odontólogo y se deja en segundo plano el de la asistente dental. Para serles sinceros nosotros los odontólogos no somos nada sin nuestras asistentes, sin ellas no podríamos trabajar. Así que debemos reconocer mucho más su trabajo. Ellas se encargan de mantener todo en orden para que podamos realizar nuestro trabajo, nos hacen la vida más fácil. Pero toda su carga de trabajo debe ser reconocida y bien remunerada.
Much is said about the work of the dentist and the work of the dental assistant is left in the background. To be honest, we dentists are nothing without our assistants, without them we could not work. So we should recognize their work much more. They are in charge of keeping everything in order so that we can do our job, they make our life easier. But all their workload should be recognized and well remunerated.
Lila tiene más de 20 años de experiencia, y desde que trabajo con ella me ha enseñado muchísimas cosas, además que nos ha demostrado su apoyo incondicional. Hace pocos días cumplió años y ese día cayó sábado. Así que le mandé a hacer una mini cake para llevársela el lunes a primera hora al trabajo y darle la sorpresa. Su reacción al ver su torta de cumpleaños fue muy emocionante y espontánea, hasta soltó estas palabras "me vas a hacer llorar" fue un momento muy bonito y muy especial.
Lila has more than 20 years of experience, and since I have been working with her she has taught me many things, and she has shown us her unconditional support. A few days ago she had her birthday and that day fell on a Saturday. So I had her make a mini cake to take to work first thing Monday morning and surprise her. Her reaction when she saw her birthday cake was very emotional and spontaneous, she even said "you're going to make me cry", it was a very nice and special moment.
Al final de nuestra guardia, le cantamos el cumpleaños y compartimos un poco de la torta. Fue algo muy sencillo y solo en el área de odontología. Ahora a final de mes, celebraremos los cumpleaños del mes, entre ellos el de Lila, junto con todo el personal de nuestro centro de salud. Estoy muy contento por ese momento especial que vivimos. Espero que la vida me ayude a recompensar a mi querida Lila por todas la cosas que ha hecho por mi 🎆
At the end of our shift, we sang her birthday and shared some of the cake. It was something very simple and only in the dental area. Now at the end of the month, we will celebrate the birthdays of the month, including Lila's, together with all the staff of our health center. I am very happy for this special moment we are living. I hope that life will help me to reward my dear Lila for all the things she has done for me 🎆.
