Navidad y cumpleaños Feliz (Esp&Eng)
Hola amigos de Hive. Estoy feliz de saludarlos de nuevo. Espero estén pasando unas bonitas navidades. Paso por aquí para contarles lo que fue mi cumpleaños y la noche buena.
Hello friends of Hive. I am happy to greet you again. I hope you are having a nice Christmas. I stop by to tell you about my birthday and Christmas Eve.
Nací un 24 de Diciembre, puede ser una fecha rara para cumplir años pero fue la que me tocó. Toda mi vida mi cumpleaños se ha dividido junto con la celebración de noche buena y ha sido muy bonito porque de cierta forma siempre he celebrado mi cumpleaños. El 24 de diciembre es una fecha muy importante en nuestra familia, ya que aparte de mi cumpleaños y la noche buena, tambien se celebra el aniversario de bodas de mis padres. Asi que hay mucho que celebrar.
I was born on December 24th, it may be a strange date to have a birthday but it was the one I got. All my life my birthday has been divided together with the celebration of Christmas Eve and it has been very nice because in a way I have always celebrated my birthday. December 24 is a very important date in our family, because besides my birthday and Christmas Eve, it is also my parents' wedding anniversary. So there is a lot to celebrate.
Este año quise hacer algo distinto. La noche del 23, fui con mis amigos a un bar de mi ciudad para esperar que se hicieran las 12am y celebrar mi cumpleaños. Empezamos tomando cervezas y hablando de muchas anécdotas que nos unen. Al llegar las 12, me felicitaron y brindamos por un año más de vida, de ahí la fiesta continuó y la pasamos muy bien. La celebración se extendió hasta las 4am 😅 acá les dejaré una foto que me tomaron desprevenido pero que resume un poco lo que fue la noche.
This year I wanted to do something different. On the night of the 23rd, I went with my friends to a bar in my city to wait for 12am and celebrate my birthday. We started drinking beers and talking about many anecdotes that unite us. When 12 o'clock came, they congratulated me and we toasted to another year of life, from there the party continued and we had a great time. The celebration lasted until 4am 😅 here I will leave you a picture that I was taken unawares but that summarizes a little of what the night was like.
El 24 en la mañana y luego de haber descansado, empezamos a limpiar y acomodar todo para la cena navideña. Cómo buen venezolano tuve que salir y hacer compras de último momento. Ayudé a preparar la ensalada navideña y otras cosas que íbamos a compartir en la cena. A diferencia del año pasado, íbamos Aser pocas personas. Para cenar solo estaríamos mis papás, mis hermanos y yo. Luego de eso llegarían mis demás familias y amigos a cantar cumpleaños. La cena estuvo muy rica, está año decidimos poner la mesa en el patio de nuestra casa, así que cenamos al aire libre, pero el clima estaba genial. Compartimos un momento muy lindo como familia.
On the 24th in the morning and after resting, we started to clean and arrange everything for the Christmas dinner. As a good Venezuelan I had to go out and do some last minute shopping. I helped prepare the Christmas salad and other things we were going to share at dinner. Unlike last year, there were only a few of us. For dinner it would just be my parents, my siblings and me. After that my other families and friends would arrive to sing birthdays. This year we decided to set the table in the backyard of our house, so we had dinner outdoors, but the weather was great. We shared a very nice moment as a family.
Luego de la cena empezaron a llegar mis tíos y primos, hicimos un brindis y compartimos un buen rato escuchando música. Cómo a las 11:30pm decidimos que era el momento de catar cumpleaños. Así que preparamos la mesa con la torta de cumpleaños y como buena costumbre venezolana apagamos las luces y cantamos nuestra canción de cumpleaños que no es nada corta 😂 siempre he pensado que es muy incómodo que te canten cumpleaños, no sé que cara poner, y hasta nervioso me sentí, pero es un momento especial y único, dónde solo puedo sentir gratitud. Pedí mis deseos y sople las velas, así di inicio a mis 27 años.
After dinner my aunts, uncles and cousins started to arrive, we made a toast and shared a good time listening to music. At about 11:30pm we decided it was time for a birthday tasting. So we prepared the table with the birthday cake and as a good Venezuelan custom we turned off the lights and sang our birthday song which is not short at all 😂 I have always thought it is very uncomfortable to be sung birthday, I do not know what face to put, and even nervous I felt, but it is a special and unique moment, where I can only feel gratitude. I made my wishes and blew out the candles, so I started my 27th birthday.
Luego de esto seguimos compartiendo, la torta estaba muy rica y a todos les gustó. A las 12am y siguiendo las tradiciones de mi casa, colocamos al niño Jesús en el pesebre y cantamos aguinaldos y villancicos, está tradición existe en mi familia desde que tengo uso de razón. Es muy bonita y espero seguir llevandola a cabo. Después de esto siguió la reunión, la cuál se extendió hasta las 3am cuando todos decidimos que ya era el momento de descansar 😅
After this we continued sharing, the cake was very tasty and everyone liked it. At 12am and following the traditions of my house, we placed the baby Jesus in the manger and sang aguinaldos and Christmas carols, this tradition exists in my family since I can remember. It is very nice and I hope to continue doing it. After this the meeting continued, which lasted until 3am when we all decided that it was time to rest 😅.
Estoy muy agradecido con Dios y la vida por esta hermosa celebración, por una año más de vida y por todas las cosas que me han sido dadas. Espero este nuevo año sea mucho mejor, con mejores experiencias, más bendiciones y siempre con mi familia unida, es lo único que pido.
I am very grateful to God and life for this beautiful celebration, for one more year of life and for all the things that have been given to me. I hope this new year will be much better, with better experiences, more blessings and always with my family united, that's all I ask for.

Seguramente desde pequeñito te tocaba de a dos regalos, Jejeje. Creo que es un privilegio para los que creemos en la Navidad tener la fortuna de cumplir años el mismo día del nacimiento del niño Jesús, es algo tan bonito y tan especial. Estubo súper entretenida la celebracion, el clima está de maravilla hasta en las zonas más calurosas del país, hay que aprovechar, Jejeje.
