Mi primer consultorio privado | My first private practice [Eng&Esp]
¡Hola Hivers! Espero estén todos muy bien. Hoy quiero contarles algo muy especial. Ya ustedes son como parte de mi familia así que cada logro o momento especial se los contaré con mucho cariño. Lo que les vengo a contar hoy es una noticia que me tiene muy contento. Ya tengo mi propio consultorio privado.
Hello Hivers! I hope you are all very well. Today I want to tell you something very special. You are already like part of my family, so I will tell you about every achievement or special moment with much affection. What I am going to tell you today is news that makes me very happy. I now have my own private practice.
Hace poco más de tres años que culminé mi carrera universitaria, y el año pasado después de una terrible pandemia cómo es la de la covid-19 me entregaron mi título como Odontólogo de la República. Desde que empecé a estudiar sabía lo difícil que iba a ser debido a los altos costos de todos los materiales e insumos que se requieren para estudiar la carrera y atender a los pacientes. Pero nada me detuvo, obviamente no todo fue color de rosa, pero cuando algo te gusta tanto no importan los sacrificios que tengamos que hacer para lograr la meta. Después de 5 años y muchos acontecimientos logré mi meta y me gradué. Pero apenas está historia estaba comenzando, ahora venía lo realmente difícil.
It has been a little more than three years since I finished my university career, and last year after a terrible pandemic such as covid-19, I received my degree as a Dentist of the Republic. Since I started studying I knew how difficult it was going to be due to the high costs of all the materials and supplies required to study the career and care for patients. But nothing stopped me, obviously not everything was rosy, but when you like something so much no matter the sacrifices we have to make to achieve the goal. After 5 years and many events I achieved my goal and graduated. But this story was just beginning, now came the really difficult part.
En plena pandemia y al poco tiempo de recibir mi título universitario se me presentó una oportunidad muy valiosa que decidí aprovechar. Empecé a trabajar en un centro médico asistencial conocido en Venezuela como ambulatorios CPT III que ofrecía atención médica las 24 horas y diversas especialidades médicas entre ellas odontología. Este trabajo me ayudó muchísimo para ganar mas experiencia y darme a conocer en mi ciudad. Trabajar en un centro de salud pública te ayuda muchísimo, ya que todos los días llegan casos difíciles y que en una consulta privada no son tan comunes. Aún continúo trabajando en este ambulatorio, me gusta mucho y me siento contento con este trabajo.
In the middle of the pandemic and shortly after receiving my university degree, I was presented with a very valuable opportunity that I decided to take advantage of. I started working in a medical center known in Venezuela as ambulatory CPT III that offered 24-hour medical care and various medical specialties including dentistry. This job helped me a lot to gain more experience and make myself known in my city. Working in a public health center helps you a lot, because every day difficult cases come in that are not so common in a private practice. I still continue to work in this clinic, I like it very much and I feel happy with this job.
Ha pasado un tiempo desde que estoy trabajando en ese sitio, sin embargo sentía la necesidad de trabajar en un consultorio privado porque era lo que de verdad me iba a generar ingresos y me iba a ayudar mucho más. En la actualidad y con la realidad económica de mi país es muy difícil crear tu propio consultorio desde cero. Así que comprar todo, incluida la unidad dental no era una opción para mí en estos momentos. Así que debía buscar un consultorio que pudiera alquilar y poder atender mis pacientes de forma privada. Después de hablar con varios colegas, uno de ellos me ofreció alquilarme su consultorio de lunes a viernes en el turno de la tarde y también los fines de semana para casos de emergencias. Así que aproveche está oportunidad y acepté.
It has been a while since I have been working in that place, however I felt the need to work in a private practice because it was what was really going to generate income and help me a lot more. Nowadays and with the economic reality of my country it is very difficult to create your own practice from scratch. So buying everything, including the dental unit was not an option for me at this time. So I had to look for an office that I could rent and be able to see my patients privately. After talking to several colleagues, one of them offered to rent me his office from Monday to Friday in the afternoon shift and also on weekends for emergencies. So I took advantage of this opportunity and accepted.
El consultorio es muy sencillo pero bonito, además me siento muy cómodo en el. Tiene algunos detalles que con el tiempo podré ir arreglando. Pero tengo todo lo necesario, tengo el aparato de rayos x dónde podré hacer estudios radiográficos y me ayudará a llegar a diagnósticos más certeros. Tengo un horno para esterilizar, el ultrasonido para limpiezas dentales profundas y una unidad dental que me permitirá trabajar cómodamente, aunque esté sillón tiene algunos detalles de tapizado pero ya estoy en planes de comprar un forro y colocarselo. Tengo todo lo que necesito. Siento que es un espacio que me ayudará a crecer más como profesional y poder realizar tratamientos que por falta de insumos no realizo en el ambulatorio público.
The office is very simple but nice, and I feel very comfortable in it. It has some details that I will be able to fix with time. But I have everything I need, I have the x-ray machine where I will be able to do radiographic studies and it will help me to reach more accurate diagnoses. I have an oven for sterilization, ultrasound for deep dental cleanings and a dental unit that will allow me to work comfortably, although this chair has some details of upholstery but I am already planning to buy a lining and put it on. I have everything I need. I feel that it is a space that will help me to grow more as a professional and to be able to perform treatments that due to lack of supplies I do not perform in the public clinic.
Espero que con la bendición de Dios y con el esfuerzo diario, este nuevo proyecto que emprendo sea para bien y todo salga excelente. Ahora estoy en proceso de creación de marca, logotipos y publicidad para que mi trabajo llegue a un público más amplio. Amo mucho mi trabajo así que me hace feliz está nueva experiencia. Ojalá esté primer paso me ayude a cumplir mi sueño y algún día tener mi propia clínica dental. Para Dios no hay nada imposible y si trabajamos fuertemente podemos lograr las cosas.
I hope that with God's blessing and daily effort, this new project I am undertaking will be for the best and everything will turn out excellent. Now I am in the process of creating a brand, logos and advertising for my work to reach a wider audience. I love my work very much so I am very happy with this new experience. Hopefully this first step will help me to fulfill my dream and someday have my own dental clinic. For God nothing is impossible and if we work hard we can achieve things.
