¡Hola hivers! Espero estén muy bien, gracias a todos por leerme, en especial a la comunidad de @aliento. Hoy quiero hablarles sobre la instalación de una lámpara LED para mejorar la iluminación de espacios en mi hogar.
Hi hivers! I hope you are very well, thank you all for reading me, especially the @aliento community. Today I want to tell you about the installation of an LED lamp to improve the lighting of spaces in my home.
Antes de explicar el proceso quiero destacar la ausencia total de autoridades municipales. Desde hace años mi calle y mi sector en general se ha visto afectado por la falta de gobierno municipal, esto ha hecho que los servicios básicos estén muy deteriorados. Prácticamente no existe alumbrado público, las calles están a oscuras. Gracias a los vecinos que nos hemos organizado hemos podido colocar unas lámparas para poder dar un poco de iluminación a la calle. Hemos hecho el trabajo que le corresponde a la alcaldía. De igual forma el aseo urbano es deficiente y tarda mucho tiempo en recoger la basura. Esta son algunas de las dificultades a las que nos enfrentamos los venezolanos.
Before explaining the process I want to highlight the total absence of municipal authorities. For years my street and my sector in general has been affected by the lack of municipal government, this has caused the basic services to be very deteriorated. There is practically no street lighting, the streets are dark. Thanks to the neighbors who have organized ourselves we have been able to place some lamps to give a little light to the street. We have done the work that corresponds to the mayor's office. Likewise, the urban sanitation is deficient and it takes a long time to pick up the garbage. These are some of the difficulties we Venezuelans face.
Vivo en casa con muchas áreas verdes y un espacio muy grande así que la iluminación es muy importante, tanto por estética como por seguridad y resguardo, ya que una casa o calle a oscuras es una oportunidad para que los ladrones hagan de las suyas. Así que desde siempre hemos tenido un poste alto con una lámpara que ilumina todo el jardín. Sin embargo esta lámpara se había dañado y nos quedamos a oscuras. De tal manera que tuvimos que comprar una lámpara nueva.
I live in a house with many green areas and a very large space so lighting is very important, both for aesthetics and for safety and security, since a dark house or street is an opportunity for thieves to do their thing. So we have always had a tall pole with a lamp that illuminates the whole garden. However this lamp had been damaged and we were left in the dark. So we had to buy a new lamp.
Anteriormente teníamos una lámpara halógena. Creo que lo mejor que pudo pasar es que se dañara, ya que esta lámpara consumía mucha energía. Así que en reemplazo de ésta compramos una lámpara LED y la diferencia entre ambas lámparas es muy grande. Las LED ahorran muchísima energía y tienen una durabilidad mucho mayor que las halógenas y a mi modo de ver alumbran mucho mejor. La lámpara LED que compramos tuvo un costo de 34bs es decir aproximadamente $8. Considero que está a buen precio teniendo en cuenta que son lámparas grandes y de mayor capacidad.
Previously we had a halogen lamp. I think the best thing that could have happened was that it got damaged, as this lamp consumed a lot of energy. So as a replacement we bought an LED lamp and the difference between the two lamps is very big. LEDs save a lot of energy and have a much longer life than halogen lamps and in my opinion they light much better. The LED lamp we bought cost 34bs or approximately $8. I think it is a good price considering that they are large lamps and have a higher capacity.
Para la instalacion tuvimos ayuda de mi cuñado el cual se encargó de fijar la lámpara LED a la base de la antigua lámpara. La probamos y todo funcionó perfecto. Para la instalación en el poste llamamos a un vecino electricista y especializado en este trabajo, el se encargó de subir y adaptar la lámpara al poste de luz. Además de hacer las conexiones para el interruptor de encendido y apagado. Algo que me pareció curioso era que el ayudante del vecino era su hijo de 9 años aproximadamente. Una vez terminado el trabajo hicimos el encendido de la lámpara y todo había quedado perfecto. La diferencia del antes y el después era muy notoria. Quedamos muy satisfechos del trabajo realizado.
For the installation we had help from my brother-in-law who was in charge of fixing the LED lamp to the base of the old lamp. We tested it and everything worked perfectly. For the installation on the pole we called a neighbor electrician and specialized in this work, he was in charge of raising and adapting the lamp to the light pole. He also made the connections for the on/off switch. Something that I found curious was that the neighbor's helper was his son, about 9 years old. Once the job was finished we did the lighting of the lamp and everything was perfect. The difference between before and after was very noticeable. We were very satisfied with the work done.
Tengo que admitir que todo lo relacionado a electricidad me genera un poco de temor. Así que tengo mucho respeto y admiración por las personas que se dedican a esta profesión. Ésta instalación tuvo muchos beneficios, entre ellos la iluminación de áreas verdes de mi hogar, la seguridad que brinda y el ahorro de energía. En ese sentido debemos tomar consciencia y tomar medidas para el ahorro de energía. En la medida que sea posible debemos reemplazar los bombillos y luces de nuestro hogar por lámparas LED.
I have to admit that everything related to electricity generates a little fear in me. So I have a lot of respect and admiration for people in this profession. This installation had many benefits, among them the illumination of green areas of my home, the security it provides and the energy savings. In that sense we must be aware and take measures to save energy. As far as possible we should replace the bulbs and lights in our home for LED lamps.
