Doble Cumpleaños Feliz | Double happy birthday
¡Hola hivers! ¿cómo están? Espero estén muy bien. Mi nombre es Omar y estoy aquí para contarles lo bonito y emotivo que ha sido mi día. Hoy celebramos el cumpleaños de mi hermana y también el de mi sobrina. Por casualidades de la vida les tocó celebrarlo el mismo día y es para mí una alegría festejarlo junto a ellas una vez más.
Hi hivers! How are you? I hope you are very well. My name is Omar and I am here to tell you how nice and emotional my day has been. Today we celebrated my sister's birthday and also my niece's birthday. By coincidence of life it was their turn to celebrate it on the same day and it is a joy for me to celebrate it with them once again.
El mes de febrero en mi familia es muy especial. El 2 de febrero celebramos el día de la virgen María bajo la advocación de la Candelaria y el 8 celebramos por partida doble el cumpleaños de mi hermana y mi sobrina la hija de mi hermano mayor. Este año mi hermana celebra sus 30 años de edad, es mayor que yo por 5 años. Mi sobrina hoy cumple 9 añitos. El día de hoy hicimos un compartir muy pequeño e íntimo para cantar cumpleaños y pasar un rato agradable conversando y recordando tantas anécdotas.
February is a very special month in my family. On February 2 we celebrate the day of the Virgin Mary under the patronage of Candelaria and on February 8 we celebrate twice the birthday of my sister and my niece, my older brother's daughter. This year my sister celebrates her 30th birthday, she is older than me by 5 years. My niece is 9 years old today. Today we made a very small and intimate sharing to sing birthdays and have a nice time talking and remembering so many anecdotes.
Mi hermana se llama Elena, es 5 años mayor que yo y siempre hemos sido muy unidos. Somos 4 hermanos y ella es la única mujer, así que ha sido muy consentida. De hecho mi papá le dice "mi única" y aunque dicen que los padres no tienen favoritos todos sabemos que mi hermana es la favorita de papá. Ella actualmente está casada y es la mamá de mi sobrina Beatriz Elena de 8 años de edad. Tiene su propio negocio de venta de alimentos y actualmente tiene un emprendimiento de repostería. Hace tortas y cupcakes muy ricos.
My sister's name is Elena, she is 5 years older than me and we have always been very close. We are 4 siblings and she is the only female, so she has been very spoiled. In fact my dad calls her "my only one" and although they say that parents don't have favorites we all know that my sister is dad's favorite. She is currently married and is the mother of my 8 year old niece Beatriz Elena. She has her own business selling food and currently has a baking venture. She makes delicious cakes and cupcakes.
La otra cumpleañera es mi sobrina Fabiana, ella está cumpliendo 9 años. Es la hija mayor de mi hermano y es mi primera sobrina. Desde que llegó a nuestras vidas fue muy consentida, era la primera nieta de mis padres y siempre se le consintieron todos sus caprichos. Es una niña muy dulce y muy madura para su edad. Ayuda mucho a sus padres en el hogar y está muy pendiente de su hermanita Fiorella de apenas 4 años. Es una niña muy inteligente y actualmente es una sobresaliente en su grupo de colegio. Le gusta mucho estudiar, aprender y participar en actividades escolares.
The other birthday girl is my niece Fabiana, she is turning 9 years old. She is my brother's oldest daughter and my first niece. Since she came into our lives she was very spoiled, she was my parents' first granddaughter and she was always indulged in her every whim. She is a very sweet girl and very mature for her age. She helps her parents a lot at home and is very attentive to her little sister Fiorella who is only 4 years old. She is a very intelligent child and is currently a standout in her school class. She loves to study, learn and participate in school activities.
Hoy desde muy temprano mi mamá y yo nos pusimos a cocinar unos vegetales salteados acompañados con un poco de pan tostado para compartir mientras hablabamos. También hicimos una masa para pastelitos o también conocida en otros países como empanadas. Dejamos reposar la masa y luego nos pusimos a armar los pastelitos, hicimos rellenos de pollo, queso y queso con jamón. Dejamos reposar otro rato y luego los freimos en una olla con bastante aceite. Luego los servimos y repartimos a modo de pasapalo mientras compartíamos en familia.
Very early today my mom and I started cooking some sautéed vegetables with some toasted bread to share while we talked. We also made a dough for pastelitos or also known in other countries as empanadas. We let the dough rest and then we started to assemble the pastries, we made chicken, cheese and cheese and ham fillings. We let them rest for another while and then we fried them in a pot with plenty of oil. Then we served them and shared them as a snack while we shared with the family.
Luego de compartir un rato en familia procedemos a cantar el cumpleaños. Nos reunimos todos alrededor de la mesa, apagamos las luces como es tradición y entonanamos el "hay que noche tan preciosa" la cual es la canción típica de los cumpleaños en venezuela. Antes de terminar cada una pidió su deseo y ambas soplaron la vela de cumpleaños. Después de los abrazos y los buenos deseos repartimos el pastel de cumpleaños, el cual estaba muy delicioso. De esta manera celebramos este día tan especial. Como les dije fue algo muy íntimo y que de cierta forma no teníamos preparado, pero la pasamos muy bien y nos divertimos mucho.
After sharing some time as a family we proceed to sing the birthday song. We all gathered around the table, turned off the lights as is tradition and sang "Hay que noche tan preciosa" which is the typical birthday song in Venezuela. Before finishing each one made her wish and both blew out the birthday candle. After the hugs and good wishes we distributed the birthday cake, which was very delicious. In this way we celebrated this special day. As I told you it was something very intimate and in a way we had not prepared for it, but we had a great time and a lot of fun.
Estos son los momentos especiales que nos quedan en la memoria y estoy feliz de haber vivido otro cumpleaños con ellas cerca. Quiero agradecer a la comunidad de @aliento por su apoyo y por permitirme ser parte de su comunidad. Espero les haya gustado mi post, hasta una nueva oportunidad.
