Hola amigos de #hive espero estén muy bien, hoy quiero mostrarles unas flores de Cala de mi jardín y contarles un poco sobre ellas.
Hello #hive friends I hope you are very well, today I want to show you some Cala flowers from my garden and tell you a little about them.
Nuestro gusto por las calas es una herencia que nos dejó mi abuela materna. Ella era muy amante de las calas y tenía de todos los colores y tamaños. Las cuidaba muy bien y siempre estaba pendientes de sus flores. Esa tradición la adquirió mi madre, quien se volvió amante de este tipo de flores, además que les recuerda mucho a mi abuela.
Our love for calla lilies is an inheritance left to us by my maternal grandmother. She was a great lover of calla lilies and had all colors and sizes. She took good care of them and was always looking after her flowers. That tradition was acquired by my mother, who became a lover of this type of flowers, besides, she reminds them a lot of my grandmother.
En mi casa tenemos diversidad de plantas y árboles pero muy pocos son de flores. Tenemos varias plantas de Cala, las que les muestro en las fotos son las que actualmente están floreadas pero tenemos muchas más. Con el tiempo hemos aprendido a cultivarlas. Preparamos una tierra abonada especial y le añadimos pedazos de tronco seco. Además nos dieron el tip de colocarle las cáscaras de papá, zanahoria y berenjena como abono natural y nos ha dado muy buenos resultados.
In my house we have a diversity of plants and trees but very few are flowering. We have several Cala plants, the ones I show you in the pictures are the ones that are currently flowering but we have many more. Over time we have learned how to grow them. We prepared a special compost and added pieces of dry trunk. We were also given the tip to put the peels of dad, carrot and eggplant as natural fertilizer and it has given us very good results.
Le he agarrado el gusto a cultivar plantas. Las calas tienen un significado especial porque nos recuerda a mi abuela. Cuando nuestras calas florecen las cortamos y se las llevamos a mi abuelita en el cementerio porque ella era muy amante de las calas. Son flores muy bonitas y diferentes. Existen muchísimos tipos de calas y hay de muchos colores y tamaños. Nosotros sólo tenemos de color rojo, morado, blanco y rosado. Espero seguir cultivando y tener muchas más.
I have taken a liking to growing plants. The calla lilies have a special meaning because they remind us of my grandmother. When our calla lilies bloom we cut them and take them to my grandmother in the cemetery because she was very fond of calla lilies. They are very beautiful and different flowers. There are many types of calla lilies and they come in many colors and sizes. We only have red, purple, white and pink. I hope to keep growing and have many more.
Como bonus track he querido mostrarles también las flores de Ixora de mi jardín. Actualmente están repletas de flores y su color rojo intenso llena de vida nuestra casa. El verde de sus hojas se vio opacado casi por completo por sus rojas flores. Es muy común ver mariposas, abejorros y colibríes.
As a bonus track I also wanted to show you the Ixora flowers in my garden. They are currently full of flowers and their intense red color fills our house with life. The green of their leaves was almost completely overshadowed by their red flowers. It is very common to see butterflies, bumblebees and hummingbirds.

Me encantan las calas, acá en casa tenemos calas, acá te comparto una fotito de una de las matas de cala, es una flor bastante resistente. Esta mata que puedes ver en la imagen siempre está floreada, es un espectáculo.
