20 Pollitos | 20 chicks
Hola amigos de Hive y a todos los que me leen en esta bonita comunidad de mascotas. Mi nombre es Omar y hoy quiero contarles como llegaron a mi vida estos 20 pollitos y como ha sido el proceso hasta ahora. Espero les guste y me puedan dejar sus comentarios.
Hello friends of Hive and all those who read me in this beautiful pet community. My name is Omar and today I want to tell you how these 20 chicks came into my life and how the process has been so far. I hope you like it and you can leave me your comments.
Desde hace un tiempo mi padre ha querido criar pollos, dado que tenemos un patio muy grande en nuestro hogar podíamos tenerlos sin ningún problema. Así que después de pensarlo mucho, analizar los costos y preparar el espacio, tomó una decisión, iba a comprar 20 pollitos. El primer inconveniente que tuvimos fue que al momento de comprarlos nos dimos cuenta que existe escacez de pollos. Así que tuvimos que anotarnos en una lista de espera. Luego de hacer el pago solo nos quedaba esperar que nos llamaran para buscar los pollitos. Pero la espera se hizo larga, hasta que ayer, luego de una semana, nos llamaron para avisarnos que ya habían llegado los pollitos.
For some time now my father has wanted to raise chickens, since we have a very large backyard in our home we could have them without any problem. So after thinking about it a lot, analyzing the costs and preparing the space, he made a decision, he was going to buy 20 chicks. The first problem we had was that at the moment of buying them we realized that there was a shortage of chicks. So we had to put ourselves on a waiting list. After making the payment, all we had to do was wait for them to call us to pick up the chicks. But the wait was long, until yesterday, after a week, they called us to let us know that the chicks had arrived.
Al momento de retirarlos, el personal de la tienda nos dió las indicaciones de como debíamos criarlos, además de como debíamos darle sus vitaminas y alimentos. Luego de toda esta explicación, nos hicieron entrega de los 20 pollitos en una pequeña caja de cartón. Durante el trayecto hasta mi casa, los pollitos no dejaron de cacarear. Al llegar, tuvimos que reacondicionar el espacio donde iba a estar los pollos, ya que como aún están pequeños necesitan estar en un espacio más reducido. Después de hacer éste paso pudimos soltar a los pollitos en su nuevo espacio. Le colocamos su alimento y su agua. Al comienzo estaban asustados y se agrupaban, pero con el paso del tiempo tomaron confianza y empezaron a comer y beber agua.
When we picked them up, the store staff gave us the instructions on how we should raise them, as well as how we should give them their vitamins and food. After all this explanation, they gave us the 20 chicks in a small cardboard box. During the trip to my house, the chicks did not stop clucking. When we arrived, we had to recondition the space where the chicks were going to be, since they are still small and need to be in a smaller space. After this step we were able to release the chicks in their new space. We placed their food and water. At the beginning they were scared and clumped together, but as time went by they became more confident and started to eat and drink water.
Parte de los trabajos que tuvimos que realizar para el bienestar de los pollitos, fue la instalación del cableado para la luz. Éste paso tomo algo de tiempo pero al final se pudo instalar el bombillo que va a mantener caliente a los pollos durante la noche. También tuvimos que arreglar la puerta de acceso ya que tenemos una perrita y ésta podría entrar al gallinero y ocasionar una tragedia. Pero la puerta quedó bien sellada, además se le coloco un candado para mayor seguridad.
Part of the work we had to do for the welfare of the chicks was the installation of the wiring for the light. This step took some time but in the end we were able to install the light bulb that will keep the chickens warm during the night. We also had to fix the access door since we have a small dog and it could enter the coop and cause a tragedy. But the door was well sealed and a padlock was put on it for security.
Una de las más emocionada con los pollitos era mi sobrina Beatriz. Desde que supo que íbamos a tener pollos en la casa no dejaba de preguntar cuando llegarían. Hasta que ayer cuando los trajeron salió corriendo de emoción para verlos y atenderlos. Como aún están pequeños lo ideal sería no estar agarrándolos y ella lo entendió perfectamente. Pero sin duda está muy emocionada con los pollitos y hasta quería ponerle nombre a cada uno.
One of the most excited about the chicks was my niece Beatriz. Ever since she knew we were going to have chickens in the house she kept asking when they would arrive. Yesterday when they were brought in she ran out of excitement to see them and take care of them. Since they are still small, it would be ideal not to be holding them and she understood that perfectly. But she is undoubtedly very excited about the chicks and even wanted to name each one.
Durante su primera noche todo salió bien, durmieron todos acurrucados. Hace muchos años, cuando mi abuelo paterno vivía en mi hogar también criaba pollos. Así que hacerlo ahora nos recuerda indudablemente a nuestro abuelo. Estos pollitos son una gran responsabilidad, pero todos acá estaremos pendiente de ellos y cubriremos sus necesidades. Si alguna vez has criado pollos o tienes actualmente pollos en tu hogar, me encantaría que me dejaras tus recomendaciones y sugerencias en los comentarios, ya que serían de mucha ayuda en esta nuestra primera vez criando pollos. During their first night everything went well, they all slept huddled together. Many years ago, when my paternal grandfather lived in my home he also raised chickens. So doing it now certainly reminds us of our grandfather. These chicks are a big responsibility, but everyone here will be looking out for them and providing for their needs. Qué lindos, en mi casa antes criaban pollos y hubo un tiempo en el que viví en una finca entonces siempre hubo pollitos por todas partes, de alguna forma esto me recuerda un poco a mi infancia haha, como no tengo hermanos, de pequeña solía hablar con los pollitos para distraerme porque no tenía amiguitos.🤣
Con respecto al cuidado de los pollitos es importante que siempre tengan su luz (verde o roja) en la noche, y estén en un sitio protegido de la lluvia.♥️
