Hello everyone and welcome to the "thursday Time Machine"
This week the time machine will make a travel back in music!
I'll roll my digital dices online

We will go back to the year 1990!
In this year i went to school for the first time, just 4 years old.

I do remember listening to the radio, and asking myself what was hapening when the lady goes high in vocals, is she mad or angry?
I have always been fasinated with music, beats and vocals. My first music based crush was Bryan Adams. He had that wonderful videoclip with pieces of the movie Robin hood. i was so triggerd by that!

Well let's start i'll take out 4 random numbers of this top 100 hitlist and add a video clip with it.

The first song i choose is:

Roxette- Listen to your heart + Dangerous

in 1988 this song was released but became of stayed in the hitlists of songs, i am not surprised because this is a great late 80's begin 90's song! it has feels, guitarplay and emotions. I also love the sound of Gun-Marie Fredriksson's voice, it's a little raw but also clear as a crystal.

About the artists:

Gun-Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle form the swedish small band "Roxette".
in 1989 they got their big break through international with the song: "The look" wich dominated the hitlists for weeks in the Netherlands.
Now i think about it, most of their songs i know. It has been played through all my time on this planet :)
unfortunately Gun-Marie Fredriksson past away in 2019 from illnes.

About the artists

The artists about this song are a german eurodance group.
The song reached number-one in Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland.
I have noticed that they have a lot of different versions of this song. Another song that was seen in the top 100 was "Oops up".

Fleetwood Mac - In The Back of My Mind

I can only say, this is what i think of when hearing music.
The build-up, the artistic way of making a video and the instruments used in the right balance. I honestly say that i don't really remember this song but now, i will beyond doubt gonna add it to my playlist. Also a way of discovering music from a while back, just by going back in time;)

About the artists:

Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, is is obvious that the name was made of those two names.

What a reputation they got and what a songs! This was/ is signifigant to i think a lot of people, even here on Hive and extensions. They have a way of bringing their music and give a feeling of belonging somewhere, that doesn't have a name.
It helps you think, heal, express yourself and love.

Sting - Englishman In New York

This singer from a band called the police, has started a solo career not without succes. Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner also known as Sting, has a jazzy sound and a complete unique way of bringing his art.

About the artist

Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner born in Wallsend,United kingdom 2 oktober 1951
The nickname Sting was giving to him at the beginning of his career. when he was performing as a bassplayer in a jazzband he played giggs with regularly in Newcastle. In that time he was often wearing a black with yellow striped sweater wich makes the rest of the band think of a bee. after that he only uses his real name with official events.
