The Faerie Mini-Village Has Been Desecrated

Such Evil Has Descended Upon Peaceful Village

As you know, if you follow my blog, I happened upon a peaceful mini village occupied by a variety of gnomes and faerie folk a few weeks ago. They were going about their business, having a wonderful time. All seemed peaceful and harmonious.

That, was of course then; this is now. As I approached fairyland deep in the forest, I was met with sheer disbelief of what was lain before me. Most of the fairies were gone!

In their place was this desperate sign, clearly made painstakingly by the few remaining faerie folk. I hate to break it to them, but most likely their kind were ripped right out of the 3rd dimension, pulled into the 4th dimension and turned inside out like a pretzel before before dropped back down into what we would consider normal space.

Those 4th dimensional hyper-beings don't really know what they're doing when it comes to dealing with us lower vibrational critters, so they probably got the wrong cross section of the fairies' bodies into normal space, leaving them completely unrecognizable. How do you like that pile of nonsense?

The place is almost completely unrecognizable. Everyone is standing around in a deep state of confusion and lack of direction. Gone is that free-loving spirit that once permeated the whole of the village.

Even the elders are at a loss for finding a path forward. No one could have dreamed that something like this would happen. How can they ever move forward and rebuild? Could someone.... or.. Some thing just come and do this again? How can they ever feel safe again?

The animals no longer trust the gnomes and the elves. Everyone seems untrustworthy now. Who can be believed? What has happened was previously unimaginable even in their wildest dreams. It was like a great rapture came down upon elfkind and simply erased half of the population without a trace left behind.

No one knows why certain creatures were taken and not others. So much survivors guilt. Families broken apart. Lives destroyed forever.

On the other side of this disaster is the weird fact that whoever kidnapped the fairies also left behind some new structures. I guess these extra-dimensional beings decided that 3D buildings were just as valuable as actual mythical creature lives. I suppose we can't expect for them to understand the difference between life and inanimate objects in our realm.

It should be interesting to see what manner of randomness I will find the next time I pass through these parts. I wonder if the scene will once again be completely different. I think I'll wait a couple of weeks and check back! Hopefully things don't get worse and turn all post apocalyptic. Of course that might actually be pretty cool, just not for the poor citizens of Fairyland.
