¡A Havanna café, inside a bookstore!...
Well, it is, and very real. I visited the most beautiful bookstore in Latin America and was surprised to find that we can have breakfast, or a good coffee or tea, inside.
It's the Librería del Ateneo, in Buenos Aires. There, you can enjoy your favorite coffee while you read or read one of your favorite books. This bookstore used to house a theater, so it hasn't lost any of its original structure. On the contrary, they made some modifications to turn it into a beautiful library for frequent readers and tourists alike.
Inside Café Havanna, the service is spectacular. I only ordered a coffee, which they offer with condensed milk on the bottom, as you can see in the following image. I'd never tried it like this before. I liked the offer. We'll see my reaction to it in the next paragraph.
And my niece ordered a café submerged. It comes with a chocolate bar, and when you add it to the milk, which was piping hot, by the way, you mix it and stir it. It's spectacular. I loved both coffees. The only thing is that they have a lot of sugar. At least the one I ordered had condensed milk, and when you mixed it in, it was a little sweet. Of course, considering I haven't been eating sugar lately, maybe that's why I felt that way.
The walls of this literary café, as I've called it, are magically decorated with paintings that inspire illusions and distract our imaginations. The themes range from the fantastical and romantic to the natural, fictional, and iconic places of this beautiful country, Argentina. Everything fits with the purpose of this place. It must have been decorated with the purpose of making its diners feel as if they were inside a book.
The title of the work is Hail AURORA Argentina Inspired by everything that has to do with; ...the origin of everything, even the Argentine north, with its majestic cacti, pink flamingos, and the immortal voice of Mercedes Sosa, the artist invites us to connect with the diversity and richness of our country.
