So I noticed that there were no entries for this week's prompt on hivenaija which is a total shift from what we have had for the past 2-3 weeks. I guess that a lot of people aren't familiar with the gaming sphere on the chain.

I would like to appeal to the hivenaija community members to explore other parts of the chain. It is paramount to your growth on the blockchain. Many people get stuck doing one thing over time and fail to build new relationships and explore new opportunities.

Hive is not a blockchain where you want to stay stagnant because it is ever-changing. Staying rigid is one of the quickest ways to lose relevance.

When I first started here four years ago, I was mainly writing poetry. Unfortunately, that did not get me the visibility I wanted. So over time, I had to change my style and find the things that worked.

I started learning more about cryptocurrency and writing opinion pieces; I explored other apps; I started vlogging; and of course, I did a little gaming myself.

Gaming is an internal part of the hive blockchain. The most popular dapp on the hive blockchain, splinterlands, is a gaming dapp and it has brought a lot of value to the hive blockchain.

Unlike writing most times gaming can be fun. You do not have to worry about coming up with creative ideas or the struggles of engaging, which to many is quite challenging. I understand not everyone has a passion for writing and the reality is you don't need to write to make money on the hive blockchain.

I also understand that not everyone enjoys gaming as well. The point is we all need to explore new things. It can either be gaming, vlogging, defi, etc there are a lot of things you can do on the blockchain to create value.

I am not much of a gamer myself but if there is any dapp I will bet on for the future it is splinterlands. I got my younger brother, @iamchuks involved and it has been an enjoyable experience for him.

There are other dapps on the chain you can explore like sims, drop, etc and they have low barriers to entry, meaning you just need a small hive investment to get started.

Also, these gaming dapps have strong communities and are willing to assist new gamers into their communities. All you need to do is play and participate in their discussions.

So in conclusion, explore as much as you can on the blockchain. It is the surest way to excel on hive. The more you explore the better your chances of finding new communities, and mouthwatering opportunities. Cheers!
