Thinking Far Ahead

I spend a lot of time stalking other people's wallets. The things that I am looking for is what are they doing with their tokens.

Save, or no

The first thing that I'm looking at is to see if they are sticking their SBD into savings, and how much they have in there.

If not I check to see if they are withdrawing or doing something else with them.

Power up, down or withdraw

Then, I'm looking at the HP. I want to figure out if they are powering up or down with their earnings, from author and curation rewards.

What I see

What I see is interesting. It seems that very few accounts place their HBD into savings, and most are very active with their Hive too. They are either always powering down or powering up and few accounts have a lot of Hive just sitting there.

I don't get a lot of clues about what I think is the best path for me. I was checking out my Hivestats page to see what my curation APR% was working out to be and it was tiny.

It is about 2.08% APR all-time and adding the ~4% that being powered up gives you that is WAY WAY lower than 20% with HBD is savings, and without the gradual 13week power down process. This makes me really wonder why more people aren't just adding more to savings after they have enough HP to reward people the amount that they want.

A passive 20% is way better than an active 11% (the best that I could find from some of the curation trails I looked at).

What do you do?

Do you have strategy? Are you in a withdrawal phase? hold and grow?

I want to know.
