My warmest greetings to all my precious people of this #hive community. I had a family sharing in my home and I wanted to share with you this beautiful day with a super yummy recipe that the family loves.
Ingredientes para la cachapa/ Ingredients for the cachapa:
Maíz blanco.
Azúcar.
Leche.
Sal.
Aceite.
Mantequilla.
Queso.
White corn.
Sugar.
Milk.
Salt.
Oil.
Butter.
Cheese.
For the preparation I used the corn cobs or corn from my sowing. We removed all the leaves from the corn and then we shelled with a knife all the corn cobs and at the same time we passed all the grains through a grinder.
Now in a bowl put the ground corn and add liquid milk, sugar and salt to taste.
All the ingredients are mixed together but do not add too much sugar because the cachapas will stick together during cooking.
Now in the kitchen place a budare or griddle to cook "We cook them the old fashioned way".
We take some leaves of the corncob and we pass them through oil to grease the budare.
With the help of a ladle place a portion of dough that we extend it in the old fashioned way, if my people with the hand we begin to pat the dough to the sides until it is the desired size.

We wait for the cachapa to cook and we check with a long knife in this way lifting it to the sides.
In the old fashioned way, turn the cachapas over with a large knife and if wood is cooked, turn it over with a machete.

When we see that the cachapa is cooked, we place the knife in the center of the cachapa as shown in the image and turn it around turning and turning the knife until the cachapa is extended and we pass the knife through all the cooked parts and the edges.
When they are cooked they are placed on a plate and we spread butter quickly and the one that can not miss the white cheese already grated.
It is better to eat warm, it is richer.

Note: many people do not like white corn. Why? According to them it doesn't have the taste of the traditional cachapa. But the truth is that white corn is also tasty, the difference is that it is white, that is its color, but its flavor is also exquisite.
"That's what my grandmother used to say.
To make these corn buns we put in a large pot the ingredients to make the mixture, the corn must already be ground and add the seasoning and then mix everything and start making our buns.

For the wrapping of our buns we use the same corn husks.
We add a ladle of prepared mixture. Then we closed the whole leaf and to tie it we did it the old-fashioned way with the same corn husk. We made thin strips of corn husk and with a knot we tied both strips together so that they would be long and in this way they were all ready to go into the boiled water.
The truth is that we spent a very nice day with the family and even more with this super food as my grandmother used to prepare it in the old style. I hope you enjoyed the post my beautiful people.

It seems amazing to me what extremely tasty (not only nutritious) dishes can be cooked with a simple corn. And I immediately think that in most countries, perhaps people do not make good enough use of it and its amazing properties.
P.S. I'm glad I already ate before reading your post 😊

I love corn in any form. With that being said, I am going to try this one. Thank you for sharing and good evening!
