MY FIRST HIVE WITHDRAWAL

It felt like, 'Are you sure this is real money?' Because honestly, Hive has been my first platform for online earning. The fact that my cousin's brother told me that all I need to do is share my experience through writing on Hive, comment and vote and get rewarded sounded like unreal stuff.

I remembered telling him to prove it to me by withdrawing his earnings and then converting them to naira so I would be sure, lol. He did, and I was like, 'Wow, it's real!' Then I began my writing journey even when I didn't understand my right from my left. I kept writing even with $0 as a reward. I kept asking him if it's only old users who used to earn here, lol.

I was so skeptical about many things, but I persisted. My husband was a bunch of discouragement, lol. He kept saying that I am wasting my time and data over something that can never pay me. Each time he sees me pressing my phone, he says I should leave there and attend to other things. I would hide to make my post when he was around, and gradually, the whole journey started making sense, especially when one of my posts went trending with $90 payout .

I was like, Am I dreaming? Just in one post? I hope this isn't audio money, hahaha.

I kept going until one day I decided to withdraw my HBDs and know if I could actually get real money in my traditional bank. He said one of my brother must has gifted me the money instead , if not how can I earn just through writing ..lol . I gave him all the evidence and he was happy. I pleaded that he drove me to spar lekki where I can buy the oven cooking gas. We went and I bought it at #85,000 that year. That was in 2022. Today that same cooking gas is sold at almost #200,000 and the best part of the story is that it is still serving me till date.

Each time I walk into my kitchen , I look at it again whisper,my first hive money😉
