A Healthy Body Needs Movement at Every Age - LOH #306

There was a time I think exercise was solely for young people. Those categories of people capable of lifting weights, doing squats, running on treadmills, and many more of the likes. I know I used to admire them and say to myself, "These guys have energy," lol.

But then as I grow older, I begin to know better and realize that exercise is not only for young people but for everyone, both old and young; everyone's body should be cared for regardless of your age. Of course, there is no age limit, just that the type of exercise we choose might depend on your age and what you are capable of dealing with.

Take for instance, it's common to see young people lift heavy weights and do other intense workouts, but old people can choose to just take a walk. At the end of the day, what matters is to have an active body.

What about me? As much as I know how important exercise is, I kept fighting with consistency. I know I do try, but not to the point that would make me feel physically fit. It's all about getting busy with the kids, business, house chores, and the list continues. But then, I also understand that it's not only when I make time to go to the gym that I exercise. Climbing stairs, dancing, and taking a long walk instead of entering a bike are part of it, and these things I do intentionally since finding time to visit the gym is always a battle for me.

Overall, taking care of ourselves through exercise is not a choice but a necessity. Personally, I am learning it without postponing it until I become sick. Age shouldn't be an excuse; no matter any age, whether 20, 40, or even 60, there is probably some form of physical activity that can fit into your life.

Consistency is the key when it comes to exercise, I'll advise you get a partner that will boast you morale on it to stay consistent also give yourself a target and gift yourself when you complete it.

For example start with twice a week if you complete it you can gift yourself get a dairy and put it down you might miss some weeks but when you go back to your diary and see the effort you have put you will love to be more consistent.

Weldone Ma'am.

I know it's not easy has a family person.

That is true anything can count as exercise including climbing stairs. I think people still make it look complicated. No one needs gym to stay fit they can do it at home too. Thanks for sharing.

Going to the gym does not really work out except with strong determination and I can remember having it in mind to do exercises that boost out my hips for months now but till now I'm yet to start.
But like you said, some daily things we do goes way closer to exercising at gym

Exercise can be done at any age, we just need to focus on one that's age appropriate and within our capacity.

Sometimes the little daily task we do counts as exer
