Motherhood never comes with a manual guide

Hello hivers!

Going through my gallery folder on my mobile device today, I bumped into these amazing shots of my Kamsi baby and immediately I remembered the incidence that led to taking the picture shots.

I'm very much single though anticipating to be a mother someday. But the day I took these amazing shots of Kamsi baby I felt and acted like a mom.

Kamsi's mom happened to be very busy at work and requested that I come babysit her son for that day. I gladly accepted without hesitation. On getting there, I was told by her mum that he was not feeling too well. Oh! I so much had pity on him cus he wasn't very much active like the Kamsi that I know. I tried every possible means to cheer him up and he somehow responded.

But you see, the part that got me marvelled was the fact that I had to handle all that occured that very day without being told what to do or go through a manual guide to know what to do. Just the way I'd quickly go through a manual guide once an electronic device that I bought malfunctions to know how to handle it, it wasn't the case here. Never knew what Kamsi's ill health was about, but after his mom breastfed him and he fell asleep. Waking up, he coughed terribly! To the point I thought he was beginning to loose his breath.
I wouldn't say I wasn't furiated at that time, truly I was! But suddenly, the motherhood in me awakened.

Carefully placing Kamsi baby on my shoulders, I patted him gently on his back and softly whispered to his ears, telling him that he'll be alright. He cried and coughed terribly at the same time for almost 35 minutes and all I could do at that moment was pat him on his back, give him a beautiful smile and sing lullabies for him. And gradually he stopped coughing and became calm again. Finally his mum breastfed him and though he was finding it hard to sleep I just had to make him sleep peacefully in my arms.

And while watching baby Kamsy sleep in my arms, I asked myself "Who taught you how to do that? Did you study a manual guide before babysitting baby Kamsi?

And it made me have a deep reflection of how mothers have been the real genius of the world. Motherhood is the greatest blessing that happens in a woman's life but it definitely comes with a lot of challenges I must say.
And the ability of every mother out there to handle these challenges without being tutored or told what and how to do it is really extraordinary. The ability to know how your baby is feeling at every point in time even without words or communication like an adult would do is extraordinary.

Mothers are the real MVPs!
Kudos to all mothers out there!

You really did an amazing job. It can be very confusing to handle them most times because they can't communicate how they feel.

You'll make a great mom 🥰🤗
