Hello beautiful people of this community, I'm glad to present this week my participation in the fan art contest, since I had several weeks without sharing anything.
Although I don't have one of the main tools to draw in digital (my graphic tablet), while I wait for it to be fixed, I told myself that I would not stop and I would still present my participation doing a drawing in traditional, so here I am!
I think it's the first time I do a fan art in traditional, the only difference of this experience is that I managed to finish the drawing faster than usual because I handle better the technique with watercolors.
Process:
My inspiration for this week was to recreate the character of Enchanted Pixie, her letter caught my attention since I am a fairy lover, in fact I have drawn several on other occasions.
I drew this character very much in my style, I drew a new outfit and hairstyle, although I tried to keep her essence in the face and wings (later I would paint them with the colors corresponding to her character).
When I think I have a good command of watercolors, some time goes by and when I go back to them I feel that I lack technique and I don't achieve what I wanted to do XD. For this drawing I wanted to keep a harmony of colors focusing especially on purple and pink, although I would still use other colors like green, blue and yellow for some details, but I'm not sure what happened and I didn't manage to follow the color palette I wanted at first.
I didn't get discouraged and went ahead with the drawing. I defined the shadows on the character, outlined all the contours with a very thin marker and then it occurred to me to use my alcohol markers to enhance some colors and add contrast.
Although at first I wanted to use only watercolors, this drawing turned out to be a mix of techniques hahaha, to add brightness I used cold paint and ended up outlining some other details of the clothes and wings.
Regarding the background, I detailed the leaves closest to the character using marker and paint, although I decided not to outline them. I liked the trunk that passes over his head, after outlining it I thought of drawing a thin vine.

Hola gente bonita de esta comunidad, me alegra presentar esta semana mi participación dentro del concurso de fan arts, ya que tenía bastantes semanas sin compartir nada.
Aunque no cuento con una de las herramientas principales para dibujar en digital (mi tableta gráfica), mientras espero que la arreglen, me dije a mi misma que no me detendría e igual presentaría mi participación haciendo un dibujo en tradicional, ¡así que acá estoy!
Creo que es la primera vez que hago un fan art en tradicional, la única diferencia de esta experiencia es que logré culminar el dibujo más rápido de lo usual ya que manejo mejor la técnica con acuarelas.
Proceso:
Mi inspiración para esta semana fue recrear el personaje de Enchanted Pixie, su carta llamó mi atención ya que soy una amante de las hadas, de hecho he dibujado varias en otras ocasiones.
Este personaje lo dibujé muy a mi estilo, dibujé un nuevo atuendo y peinado, aunque traté de mantener su esencia en el rostro y las alas (más adelante las pintaría con los colores correspondientes a su personaje).
Cuando pienso que tengo buen manejo de las acuarelas, pasa un tiempo y al volver a ellas siento que me falta técnica y no logro lo que quería hacer XD. Para este dibujo quería mantener una armonía de colores enfocándome especialmente en el violeta y el rosa, aunque igual usaría otros colores como verde, azul y amarillo para algunos detalles, pero no estoy muy segura de qué ocurrió y no logré seguir la paleta de colores que quería en un principio.
No me desanimé y seguí adelante con el dibujo. Definí las sombras en el personaje, delineé todos los contornos con un marcador muy delgado y, luego se me ocurrió usar mis marcadores de alcohol para potenciar algunos colores y añadir contraste.
Aunque en un principio quería usar únicamente acuarelas, este dibujó resultó ser una mezcla de técnicas jajaja, para aportar brillo usé pintura al frío y terminé por delinear algunos otros detalles de la ropa y las alas.
Con respecto al fondo, detallé las hojas más cercanas al personaje usando marcador y pintura, aunque decidí no delinearlas. Me gustó el tronco que pasa sobre su cabeza, luego de delinearlo se me ocurrió dibujar una enredadera delgada.
