Getting back to real work.
The holiday is over.
This has been a lovely break since quitting my job in November and then taking a bit of work in the buildings for a few weeks before a very extended break for the new baby.
life is calling though and the renovation job still needs to be finished. I called in to see how progress was going without me and the first question was, "How busy are you?", "Could you do a few days".

It's hard to turn down a guaranteed wage. It's been a great year in crypto so far but the prices have gone stale and I sold a lot of my options to buy the new car last week. I really don't want to sell any more right now
Plus i've gotten a bit lazy over the past few months and a bit of physical activity won't hurt me at the same time.
It's not the right time when i'm trying to build up my portfolio and build up my passive income sources.
It's hard to hit 250K HBD if i withdraw 500 a week for living expenses. So I need to keep earning more fiat to supplement my crypto for another while yet.
That's not a bad thing to accept as my portfolio just isn't enough yet to sustain me fully and to survive a bear market if we do hit one.
This isn't a long term fix but just a little bit of work to sustain me recharging my holdings.
It's important to accept that i will need more savings than i have right now and work harder to change that.
I can't complain as it's been a great year so far and i could survive for the rest of the year by draining all of my accounts but that won't help my long term planning.
Hive, HBD, Splinterlands, Leo, CUB all building up nicely to sustainable levels. Levels that will pay out about 3k a month in interest which won't be easy to do but worth shooting for over the next five years.
Long term goals.
My long term goals remain the same and hopefully I can get there sooner rather than later.

Build my main few stacks, and compound the shit out of them over a number of years. Then get rich slowly from the build up of interest in those accounts.
This is just the HBD expectations alone over the next ten years and that's just going on my current course. I have a few ideas to speed that up a bit.

But I like the look of it anyway. It's good to have goals and targets to aim for. It's even better to smash them out of the park.
THat's why getting back to earning a wage can only be a good thing for the future. Life has gotten a lot more expensive over the past twelve months and having a crypto retirement fund is necessary for survival.

I'm heading into my real work season. A lot less time at the computer lol. I do need to step back and breathe, I can't believe I didn't make a ton on Afit. Who knew lol?

Welcome back buddy :p
It's no harm to top up my funds every so often. We're not there yet.
No not at all! :D
I am also still working, but its a better job I have now :D
Are you planning on working a real job and converting fiat into crypto or do you just plan on finding other crypto opportunities? I do agree that cutting back down would help in the future as compound interest works better with more money and time.

No. I have enough money in crypto already that is working for me and earning more.
My main problem is that i spent a big amount of my current holdings lately for a new car so i want to build me holdings back up.
This money is just for day to day spending while my funds recover.
when i'm trying to build up my portfolio and build up my passive income sources. — honestly the importance of building a passive income cannot be over stressed . This is why an innovation like crypto will really cement its feet in the universe in the coming years .
It's one thing to earn crypto on hive but when you can earn a wage just form your passive income then you have real financial freedom.
That is the end goal for me in crypto.
wise words indeed.
You have a solid strategy and why not bolster it with more Fiat income, while working on blockchain in the background. Do that for the next five years and you may well get to hang up the traditional job boots altogether.
Awesome. Earn that wage man and buy heaps of coins you like. I am pretty sure you are going to crush those goals. 🔥🔥 And keep us posted. So that we can help you crush them a little faster. ✌️
