Are you wasting your time?

Where is your time going to?

Not wasting your time in terms of crypto being a wash out. But wasting your time in terms of earning from it. One of the things that i have realized from being in this space is that your time is a valuable asset and you should be maximizing it while things are in a positive cycle.

However it is far too easy to waste your time when you log on. Every activity can be profitable from commenting, gaming, writing or learning something new for use later.

You know if you are wasting your time if you log on to write a post, spend two hours browsing random crap and end up with nothing posted. It happens far too often for myself and I'm sure that goes for a lot of others too.

I can spend hours a day on my laptop when i get the chance but so much of that time is unproductive. I spend too much time reading posts but dont even comment at the bottom of it.

Too many times trying to hit my daily splinterlands quests but lose a lot of matches focusing on the one splinter rather than the win rate. These are the places that you and i are wasting our time.

Not to focus entirely on earning but when you are active to do something productive with it rather than just piss around. Even now, I was sitting there wasting time as usual after not posting for the past couple of days and had to shake myself out of it. Forced myself to open the leo page and put words to page.

Most of the time it should not be that hard as it is just putting structure to what is going through my head anyway. Making the most of those thoughts and ideas by getting some earning potential from them. Not wasting that time by browsing other posts, thinking about doing something or just tuning out and waiting down the clock.

In a couple of weeks I will be happily unemployed and will need crypto earnings to stay afloat. That wont happen by pissing around every day. It will take hard graft and planning to make it work.

Structure and planning.

I often talk about the importance of consistency and hard work. The next thing to add to this will be planning and execution.

I will try to hit my goals by posting, playing and working on a work like schedule.

  • Posting a minimum of seven times a week.
  • Making sure to split those posts between the different tribes.
  • Mainly Leo, SPT, Cine, Sportstalk as well as my #500wordsaday for personal blogging.
  • Hit my seven daily quests every week.
  • Increase my activity on other platforms like noise to increase other stacks and put them into saving.

I will set a loose schedule with certain types of posts like monthly updates, twitter updates, splinterlands strategies and help to keep that consistency and build good habits.

These are all things that i have seen other successful writers doing here and they work. Build up those good habits and stick to it. Over time it will keep adding up and oyu will see the success from it.

after reading your post I think I need to think about where to put my time more effectively

It's worth doing. We waste so much time thinking about what we want to do that we could put to use actually getting things done.

Maximize your efforts.

I lose quite a bit of time myself but I find it kind of unavoidable. Of course I try to make up for it a bit by commenting more often on LeoFinance for the most part. I should get into the habit of making a post everyday but I just feel more comfortable going around and making comments.

I wouldn't say that you have to make posts every day. I would just say to make sure that your time is going to good use. If you read a post, leave a comment. If your going to go on social media, use a web3 version and be rewarded.

There is no fun in doing everything for profit but if you set out to earn for the day then make the most of it. If you have a plan, see it through.

What an interesting and inspiring blog. In all honesty I have been lazy with my posting habit, this isn't because I don't have something to say but I just can't figure out how to execute my posting pattern, that's if I have one.

Well, one thing i'm kind of good at is commenting and interacting more on the chain.

Idk if this is profitable to do in my free time, but i just love doing what I do, my posting habit is a work in progress and I think your strategy is a perfect recipe to help me or anyone else out there with same posting issue.

Nice blog. Wish you the best of luck on your blogging journey.

If that's what you like and are good at then it's a perfect way to spend your time. Posting is optional and not the only way to maximize your time.

It more about accomplishing goals rather than doing things solely for profit. It can be fun and enlightening but a plan does help. Setting out certain things to accomplish weekly and then keeping track of those wins.

I like to set hive goals every year and then post monthly on my success or failure for them.

It's a good way to stay active and motivate yourself to grow and learn new things.

I believe that, dedication pays. Once you are dedicated on what you are doing, you will be seeing the results. Investing and staking in Crypto currency will always pay.

I think that you are right in this one. Especially as we are all so early in the process. We have the best chance to position ourselves for success by looking long term and holding stake.

I definitely think turning up every day can be a game changer. Once you get into the habit, it's quite achievable. Saturdays I always do a beer post, Tuesdays is music, then the other days could be Sports, Walks, Photography, Stream of consciousness, Science, day out with the kids or whatever pops into my head..

I try to avoid procrastination, by posting first and engaging, reading, replying afterwards..

Solid plan and a good structure for posting to the chain. You have a nice mix of posts and I've seen you turning up every day now which doesn't go unnoticed.

Our usernames are our brand and if you see the same name popping up regularly and putting the work in then you are much more likely to get the votes and the rewards for it.

It's good to avoid procrastinating. I'm bad for it myself. Even today i've been sitting down for three hours and haven't put together the post that i wanted to. Too busy watching tv and playing splinterlands.

Thanks a lot. Ya, i find habit forming to be very beneficial. If I go 2 days without posting, it could easily go to 4 days or even a week, so my plan is to post every day. I've noticed that some of my favourite posters to read post daily as well and some have been really successful.

I also find it opens your senses a bit more as you scan around your surroundings and thoughts for things to post about.

Too busy watching tv and playing splinterlands.

Well at least with Splinterlands you're probably earning..

only recently have I identified my income producing activities on hive, but until now I have wasted a lot of time on hive just doing nothing.
Hammering out our daily mode of operation is important. I made that my focus this last month and now my Hive activites are more profitable than ever.
Articles like this one are very encouraging.

Great to hear it. That is how you grow your account and see even more success.

I agree I like the Plan, Execute, Grow, Repeat breakdown, I especially like repeat as that is the key daily repetition :-)

It's always worth it to me if i can accomplish something.

The most annoying thing is when i spend a few hours at the computer. Big plans in my head. Then walk away with nothing done.

It's not even about rewards, it's about doing something useful and have something to show for it.
