Time to Conference?

It has now been over five years since I started down the crypto rabbit hole and I have yet to go to a conference. Sure, I have been to some seminars from professional organizations and also some webinars during the new Zoom era but physically going and networking has never been done for me despite my continued passion around the industry. It is likely due to my introvert nature anyhow as I usually go without really engaging. However, it may be different now that this passion has increased over time.

I saw that the Bitcoin Conference will be in town so am thinking if this is the first opportunity or not. Considering so much is going on and the uncertainty with the economy, it may be good to gauge projects and talk around the industry. While I do not know if we are already in a bear market or if it is yet to come, I do know that when it comes, only projects that deliver will survive and create value. We are still in the beginning of this disruption and much growth and adoption is to come.

One concern is that there are so many conferences these days considering the hype around the space. Despite the recent declines in prices, many continue to be promoted so choosing the relevant ones will be a challenge. The one on the top of my list is surely the Splinterlands SplinterFest which has been discussed for this year. That would be a must given how deep my resources and time are in the ecosystem. Networking is always a challenge but finding value within the activity is worth the while!
