Congratulations maam and to your student!
I also remember way back high school when I also join PressCon. I was a frustrated Feature Writer that no matter how hard I practice, I just couldn't make it. However, my teacher-coach asked me to participate in News Writing without prior notice, and luckily, I won. Since then, I love writing News articles and still, Feature Writing is a frustation.

Hahahaha. Maybe you only have to practice more maam. But it is good to have discovered a new category.
My teacher-coah before always told me that maybe its my penmanship that halted the chance of winning. Knowing that Feature Writing takes much words and I don't have that good, neat and much readable handwriting, maybe that made the judges turned down my entry. Hehe
