Dahlias

Dahlias are such pretty flowers. They are perennial plants with tuberous roots, and are one of 32,000 species from the Asteraceae family. Their blooms are big and colourful. Who wouldn’t fall in love with such vibrant blooms.

Here are some photos of the gorgeous dahlias close-up. These were taken in the flower dome in the Gardens by the Bay. In the dome, it is eternal spring. Flowers bloom all year round.

“Did you know… that when you walk past a flower, whether it be in somebody’s garden or on a vacant hillside, the flower will always smile at you. The most polite way to respond, I’ve been told, is to cheerfully return the smile.” - Ron Atchison

Thank you for commenting.
At the display, the sign said there are 40 species and many cultivars.
