The ArtSicence museum, which some say is shaped like a lotus flower, and some think that it resembles the palm of a hand, is situated on the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. It is one of the attractions on the promenade.
According to Wikipedia, it is the world's first ArtScience museum, featuring major exhibitions that blend art, science, culture and technology. It was officially opened in February 2011. The Museum mainly hosts touring exhibitions curated by other museums.
It is touted as a "great place for both children and adults. These collections of pictures and artifacts are not only entertaining, but they also contain great educational value through the harmonious combination of science and art."
Now, that sounds interesting.
I have been in the building, and had a snack at the cafe, but I have never gone in to see the exhibitions. You see, museums are not really my kind of thing. But who knows, maybe one day I will be motivated to see what's on exhibit.
Up close , the ArtScience Museum does look like a lotus.
I met up with a friend at the cafe recently for a light snack before having a wander along the promenade. The quiche was quite good.
From a distance, the ArtScience Museum does look a bit like the palm of a hand, doesn't it.
Ah, this looks like around the time I was there before JJ's cafe opens
I wonder how JJ's cafe is doing. 😊
I think some people go there just hoping to see him
True.
