The sea lions are part of the city of Antofagasta (Chile), they are at the fishermen port, and they regularly stay on the pedestrian and bicycle lane located in front of port. They stay there taking a nap and sun bathing. This post photos show this situation, as you can see they are quietly taking a nap, while people walking along them. From time to time, some people take photos of them.

I captured these images with the camera of my cell phone a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and edited them in Gimp. Next to the natural color format I show a black and white version.

With these images I am taking part in the PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography #49 organized by @photofeed. The rules can be read in this post. I consider more suitable to submit these photos to the street photography contest than the wild life, since these animals, even though are wild, they are also part of the everyday life of the city.

Nice shots, @nenio. Let's hear it for those sea lions. And for the people in that city who take care of them.

Well, they are in the fishermen port, since they get "free food".
They get the fish that is thrown away by the fishermen and the restaurants in the region.

Thanks for visiting the post and your comment.

Man, these are absolutely incredible sceneries for anyone who don´t come from your region. I mean these huge magnificent marine beasts just chilling on the sidewalk. Wow. Incredible :)

I agree that to see sea lions in the middle of the street is very unusual in other regions. To me it was also quite surprising when I saw them for the first time.
Thanks for your support.
