My weekend being ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Hello to all the members of this great community, thanks for the invitation to participate in this weekend challenge. First time I post here, I hope it will be the first of many times.

I found all the topics interesting. But definitely had to put on a scale and decide on one. And before I say who I chose, I would like to share what I think.

I have always considered that the life of every human being is like a play, or like an endless movie, mini-series style; where there are main and secondary characters. It is as if we were living a movie, where every day we write and live different stories.

That's why I decided on theme number four, I would like to be the world-renowned Alfred Hitchcock, the best thriller director in history.

First of all, it is important to note that throughout my life I have been a great follower of cinema in general, I remember those afternoons in which I could spend hours and hours watching movies. In most cases I enjoyed movies of different kinds, my favorites were comedy and drama; until for the first time, I saw a film by Alfred Hitchcock, from that moment everything changed.

The first Alfred Hitchcock movie I saw was recommended to me by a very close friend and it was Psycho. I was amazed with a black and white film, which until that moment I had not seen any. I fell in love with the scenery of the film, the perfect performance by Anthony Perkins, how the film gradually becomes darker and darker, and especially that well-known shot when the protagonist is going up the stairs and the camera turns 360° to get back to its starting point. Then in an afternoon of reading I got an article where I learned that Alfred Hitchcock had invented the way to do that shot.

The master Hitchcock began his career as a writer of the dialogue that appeared in the silent films of that time, and little by little he gained respect until he was able to produce his first film, and then he began to direct.

Little by little film after film was gaining international success in which these films were generally characterized by a dark and gloomy tone, with convoluted plots that made the hair stand on end every time some action happened that caused us terror. Hitchcock was a master, not to say that he was the greatest director who ever lived. To his credit there are more than 60 films in which he was mostly director and in some others, producer.

If I could be a person I would undoubtedly wish to have been him, I would participate with great eagerness in the famous cameos he made in each of his works, I would be proud every time someone saw a suspenseful scene jump out of his seat or get excited with that unexpected scream or shot, in every bomb that had to be disarmed or in those typical opportunities where they are about to discover the murderer.

I would shoot with excitement on the beautiful streets of Monaco when making the movie To Catch a Thief or on the simple set of an apartment when making the movie Rope which required many takes because it was shot as if it were a play.

Hitchcock is an example for me, he is my favorite director, a master for new generations and a legend for previous generations. His films changed the cinema and the lives of many people who did not like to see a scary or suspense movie, with a simple shot of a video camera, with the simple photography in the forest and with the great soundtrack that accompanied it, unquestionably he became an example to follow.
