Hello to all cooking lovers! Today I come to share a delicious recipe ideal for sharing with the family this Sunday. It is a potato cake, very easy and simple to prepare.

Hola a todos los amantes de la cocina! Hoy vengo a compartir una deliciosa receta ideal para compartir en familia este domingo. Se trata de una torta de papa, muy fácil y sencilla de preparar.

The ingredients I used were:

-300 grams of potato
-1 head onion
-1 long onion or scallion
-Cilantro
-1 paprika
-2 eggs
-2 tablespoons of wheat flour
-Salt to taste

Los ingredientes que utilicé fueron:

-300 gramos de papa
-1 cebolla de cabeza
-1 cebolla larga o cebollín
-Cilantro
-1 pimentón
-2 huevos
-2 cucharadas de harina de trigo
-Sal al gusto

Preparation:

-Wash the potato well, remove the skin and cut it into pieces to put it in a pot over medium heat, with water that covers the potatoes and salt to taste.

Preparación:

-Se lavar bien la papa se retira la cascara y se corta en pedazoos para ponerla en una olla a fuego medio, con agua que tape las papas y sal al gusto.

-Let them boil until soft. Let cool and mash with a fork.

-Dejamos hervir hasta que se hablanden. Dejamos enfriar y con ayuda de un tenedor hacemos un puré.

-Wash, remove the onion skins and the seeds from the paprika. Cut into small squares and make a sofrito.

-Lavamos, retiramos las cascaras de las cebollas y las semillas del pimentón. Cortamos en cuadros pequeños y hacemos un sofrito.

-Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. When they are well raised, add the yolks. And we incorporate the sofrito and the mashed potatoes and the flour.

-Separamos las claras de las yemas. Y en un tazón batimos a punto de nieve. Cuando ya estén bien elevados se le agrega las yemas. Y vamos incorporando el sofrito y el puré de papa y la harina.

-We manually integrate so as not to mistreat the mixer motor and put it in a frying pan, previously heat the pan and put butter in it to prevent the cake from sticking.

-Integramos manualmente para no maltratar el motor de la batidora y ponemos en un sartén, calentamos previamente el sartén y ponemos mantequilla para evitar que se pegue la torta.

-Cook over low heat until the cake is dry and when we see that the edges are golden brown we turn the cake over with the help of a flat plate.

-Cocinamos a fuego bajo hasta que se seque la torta y cuando veamos que por los bordes están dorados damos vuelta a la torta con ayuda de un plato plano.

-When it is golden brown on the other side, remove from heat and let it rest. Serve and enjoy.

-Cuando esté dorada por el otro lado, retiramos del fuego y dejamos reposar. Servimos y a disfrutar.
