La navidad para mi es una época muy importante. Se trata de unir a la familia y para mí mis hijos y mis nietos son el mayor tesoro. La tradición más antigua que tenemos en casa es la elaboración del árbol de navidad y el pesebre, que es la forma que tenemos los venezolanos de representar el nacimiento de Jesús.

Acostumbramos reunir toda la familia, poner el árbol, las luces, los adornos y para finalizar hacemos una cena para agradecer que estamos juntos de nuevo. Esto lo hacemos los últimos días de noviembre, por lo que el fin de semana pasado fue nuestro ritual de darle la bienvenida a la época navideña.

Christmas is a very important time for me. It is about uniting the family and for me my children and grandchildren are the greatest treasure. The oldest tradition we have at home is the making of the Christmas tree and the nativity scene, which is the way we Venezuelans represent the birth of Jesus.

We usually get the whole family together, put up the tree, the lights, the ornaments and finally we have a dinner to give thanks that we are together again. We do this during the last days of November, so last weekend was our ritual to welcome the Christmas season.

Para la elaboración del árbol:

🎄 Materiales: árbol de navidad, 2 cajas de luces color azul, adornos, girnaladss.

Hace unas semanas empecé a hacer las decoraciones navideñas, en crochet hice 15 bolas navideñas, les invito a ver el tutorial. Mi hijo @mike.cupcakes es el encargado todos los años de decorar el árbol.

For the elaboration of the tree:

🎄 Materials: Christmas tree, 2 boxes of blue lights, ornaments, girnaladss.

A few weeks ago I started making Christmas decorations, I crocheted 15 Christmas balls, I invite you to see the tutorial. My son @mike.cupcakes is in charge of decorating the tree every year.

Empezó sacando el árbol de la caja y armándolo. Le fue arreglando las ramitas para que se vea frondoso.

He started by taking the tree out of the box and assembling it. He arranged the twigs to make it look leafy.

Luego le colocó las luces por todo el arbolito bien distribuidas.

Then he placed the lights all over the tree, well distributed.

Por último le colocamos una estrellita en la punta del árbol.

Elaboración del pesebre:

🎄Materiales: papel de reciclaje, silicón, 1 caja de luces de colores, base para armar una cueba,figuras de el nacimiento de Jesús, oveja de plástico, vegetación artificial para no dañar el medio ambiente.

Finally we place a little star at the top of the tree.

Making the nativity scene:

🎄Materials: recycled paper, silicone, 1 box of colored lights, base to build a basket, figures of the birth of Jesus, plastic sheep, artificial vegetation to avoid damaging the environment.

Se va colocando el armazón yo lo hice con un televisor dañado, luego cubrimos toda la base con el papel lo pegamos con silicona,luego de terminar de colocar el papel le colocamos y los adornos. Y así quedó nuestra sala decorada.

The frame is placed I did it with a damaged TV, then we cover the entire base with the paper we glue it with silicone, after finishing placing the paper we place it and the ornaments. And so was our decorated room.

La navidad está por toda la casa, así que el baño también se decora de adornos para que el espíritu navideño llegue a todos los rincones.

Christmas is all over the house, so the bathroom is also decorated with ornaments so that the Christmas spirit reaches every corner.

Este es Fabricio, un muñeco de nieve que me regaló mi hijo el año pasado cuando llegué de Venezuela a Perú. Teníamos 2 navidades separados y al reencontrarnos fue una gran felicidad para mí.

This is Fabricio, a snowman that my son gave me last year when I arrived from Venezuela to Peru. We had been separated for two Christmases and when we met again it was a great happiness for me.
