Photochain Challenge: 83rd Edition - My Entry
[Photochain Challenge](Photochain Challenge: 83rd Edition Start - 82nd Edition's Winners) by @davidesimoncini.
If you don't know what this challenge is about, click the link above for details.
Basically we are asked to find a photo where two key words are included. Then to add our subject word which also is included in the image.
So, last week the two winners were:
@tommyl33 and the subject word is CITY
@qwerrie and the subject word is ANCIENT.
So, we have to find a photo with both key words in it CITY and ANCIENT.
In May I was in Sofia, our capital city for a couple of days. Sofia has a long history and it was once a Roman city, called Serdica. Ruins from that time were found and excavated just in the very center of the city. I have only one photo from there and it will fit well into this challenge as it represents the ruins of that ancient city.
Partially these ruins were restored but you can see how well preserved the old walls are. And here comes my subject word that I choose - WALL.
CITY / ANCIENT / WALL
I am sure you also have seen some ruins or even whole ancient cities and you can too take part in this challenge.

wow! that is totally a new fact to me, an intresting bit.
and I find your entry is a perfect match to this week's prompt. super! 😉
Thank you!
Roman empire stretched further and there were plenty of settlements, including my home town Varna, also being a Roman town. Ruins of big Thermal Bath complex can be seen here and I have to say, ancient Roman architects and engineers were very advanced. These baths got heating system called hypocaust - chanel the hot air under the floor.
I have mentioned in my other posts that I live on the birds migratory route called Via Pontica, once that was the name of the Roman road.
That's intense to find the remains in the center of the city, and yet it seems like something that could've been built recently. Nice share
Thank you for stoping by and for your comment.
