And here is my entry - the shadow of the bee. For the entry photo - scroll down.

This is the first bee I saw this year. Technically it is not the first bee, because the weather was so warm, that brought to life the insects much earlier. However, it is the first photo of a bee this year I took.

It is lunch time, the sun is shining bright and that means shadows. Even so small things like the bee, who happened to land on a wooden pallet cast a shadow.

The lack of macro lens is compensated by cropping the image. At first I did not know if I could get well the shadow, but I was glad I managed these two shots.

My office is rather dark, all day long I am stuck in front of the computer. During the break at lunch I can enjoy the sunny days outside. However, this week is going to be damp, forecast is for rain every day, which means I will stay in and wait for better time to hunt for shadows.

And at the end I decided to have some fun editing the entry photo and changed to sepia colour with additional light leak and border and I came with this.

And then I thought, this one is better, so I'd rather use the last image as an entry photo. Yes, I will. So, my last photo is my entry for the contest.
