No More Police?
In this video I take a quick look at whether police are worth having at all. In terms of total crime, they do very little according to their own stats. We know they do a lot of crime themselves. I didn't even get into stuff like the domestic abuse and drunk driving kinds of stats.
It's hard to look at the stats objectively and conclude that they are actually helping society. And at the same time they are an enormous drain on taxpayers.

But don't you think that without police crime would increase?
I'm actually not convinced of that.
But even if it were so, would it balance out the harm the cops themselves do?
I've been thinking it over. I actually live in Lebanon where the police department is so weak it basically doesn't exist. It's impossible to get real stats on crime rates but life is normal for now.
It sure sounds like a terrible tax expense now.
Statism is a religion, and the police are armed zealots.
