Incredible praying mantis found in my house
Perched on a chair where I was going to put my camera lens to take a cover was this beautiful insect. Religious Mantis, to my luck I managed to take some pictures of it.
I was so interested in some of its behaviors that I decided to investigate a little about it, did you know that they can do acrobatics so fast that the human eye can't perceive them?
As a matter of fact, yes, I didn't know that, but at one point it started to run at such a speed that I almost lost sight of it.
They are amazing beings and a bit aggressive, on some occasions it would get into attack positions and jump on my hand. Maybe that was not what it was trying to do, but it did it in such a way that it looked like it was attacking me.
I didn't want to hold it in my hands for fear of hurting it so in order to get a good picture I had it climb up on a piece of wood and took that one.
According to a text I read to differentiate the sex of both you have to look at the size and the stripes on the abdomen, this mantis had eight stripes, which makes it a male.
Fortunately they are not poisonous nor can they carry infectious diseases, so without any problem we could keep them close to us without any danger.
